Default Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Fri 9th June

I'm so happy to be now able to replay this one under WinXP. Lots of great characters, and great lines (and some of the most deviously difficult puzzles ever).

Bah, who cares about stable releases? Start playing now. (Well, that is, in a couple of days, when you're done converting the videos. )

Interesting looking game.

I just went to a local video game rental place for the first time in about two years. They still have a lot of old classic games there, it's really awesome. Anyway, I saw this one there... think I'll definately check it out when I've got some cash.

ScummVM supports it now? YAY! I can finally play this damn thing (for the first time) when I get home!

And this is what game?

By the way, wouldn't it make more sense if the person who puts the screenshot also names the game? You know, for us idiots who haven't played so many of these.

It's The Feeble Files, otherwise known as "that other Adventure Soft game".

There's been some discussion in the past over whether the names should be stated; some people (like myself) normally put it in the post, but others like the challenge of guessing.

Yes. These daily threads would otherwise be useful to those of us who are looking for "new" games to play.

I like stable. Well stable as in "not SVN version", but official release. Hmm what do you mean by converting videos? *goes to scummvm.org to check it out*

The usual stuff... ScummVM can't use the original Smacker videos, etc.

And the conversion process is long (took several hours on my machine) and requires several Gb of space for the temp files. So you could at least get started on that.

As far as I understand, no (I don't think AdventureSoft gave them the permission; what's more, we're talking about 1 Gb worth of files here, which wouldn't be all that practical to download (and to host)).

Download a development build, and see the readme there, as well as the readme in the tools subfolder.
