Two new Adventure games for the Nintendo DS
I'm not sure any of the following games will leave Japan, but for those interested there's a couple of new Adventure games coming out for the Nintendo DS:
-Brave Story: based on an anime film; check the following post at 4 color rebellion for a couple of scans with screenshots from the game, they look cool: http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archi...5/brave-story/ -Simple DS Series Vol. XX - The Kanshiki Kan: new game in a series of "budget" games, to be released next month; check the following link for a few screenshots: http://www.n-games.de/ds/SpielScreen...=356&auswahl=4 |

Lets hope these get translations, If the brave story movie gets translated then the game would probably come too but I doubt the budget one would make it over

The Brave Story game looks like it could be interesting, but the budget game looks simply appalling. Those tragically obvious photographs with a Photoshop filter over them are hideous.

A number of what could be termed "Adventure" games are available for the DS, in Japan anyway.
Personally I would recommend both the "Kenshuui Tendo Dokuta" games. They play a lot like Phoenix Wright crossed with Trauma Center. Of course, unless you read Japanese, most of the story will be lost. Saying that, though, I know ZERO Japanese and I managed to follow the stories and complete both games. That was before I realised www.gamefaqs.com had partially translated walkthroughs for both games. You can take a look at the second game on its official (Japanese) website... http://www.dokuta.com/ |

For those interested in upcoming adventure games for the DS, here's a few screenshots from a game I previously mentioned in another thread, Detect Hacker:

Yup! English subs for both of 'em! Just imagine how much easier it where if the big japanese giants looked to the fan-translation groups for suport. We would get (in most cases) quality translations done in a month or two with most if not all original content intact.
