Default Your favorite Space Quest game?

Well...simple as that: Which one of the 6 Space Quest games released is your favorite?

As far as I am concerned it has to be number 4... The last, more mature effort of the two guys from Andromeda.

Space Quest 5, as I felt it had clever ideas without the things that really annoyed be about SQ4 (that damn mall chase makes me want to never replay the game).

Well, SQ4 was quite a cruel beast, with some arcadey and timed bits, but the overall puzzle design, the time-machine and the consequent graphic changes were top-notch.

For me its between 4 & 5, if SQ5 was released on CD with voices like they planned, it would probably be amazing with Garry. But SQ4 is really the more epic and mature story.

I know only mods can do it but I had a feeling Dale would peek in.

I haven't played the sixth one... and so far I liked the fifth one better.
Not as many deaths, very funny, pretty enough, clever and adventurous.

I've just played SQ5 for the first time, and really enjoyed it. I think what I liked about it so much is that it doesn't try to be some big, epic, "the most important game to come out this year" kind of thing. It's just a fun little game. Makes me nostalgic.

It's been too long since I played the others to weigh in on this poll, but I am planning to replay the whole series in order sometime in the not too distant future.

I though it was pretty epic. You travel to a bunch of planet, and overall it's rather long...

But yeah, it doesn't itself seriously, which is nice.

I think it didn't feel epic to me because all these things just kind of unfold as they go along. It's not like the mission starts out as some big "save the world!" thing. They're just supposed to be driving around collecting garbage. And once stuff starts happening, one thing leads to another very quickly. Good pacing.
