Default Good adventure gaming blogs

I searched for this topic and didn't see it. Many apologies if it's an old one!

Do you know of any good adventure gaming blogs?

Or even semi-mediocre ones?

Well, if you want a really crappy one with irregular posting, widely different topics and a poster with a self-centered view on the world don't hesitate to visit.

I'll let you decide if it's good or not, but I expect that everyone longing enough for Dreamfall is reading http://ragnartornquist.com/

Others are http://www.telltalegames.com/blogs and http://grumpygamer.com/

I highly recommend Steve Ince's blog, Writing and Design. While you're there check out Steve's link collection. He's got links to many great game blogs there, although they are not primarily about adventure games.

Thanks for starting this thread. I've been collecting blog feeds recently and am especially interested in story-game blogs, as I use them for ideas on what to talk about in my own blog and podcast.

The only other semi-related blog I have in my list is the BlogCritics Gaming blog http://blogcritics.org/gaming/ which sometimes mentions story games, about as frequently as they appear in the broad video game market.

Well, there's mine, but it's mainly about amateur adventure games.

The Telltalegame blog is pretty good. I like the blog entry where the Telltale gang make Max handpuppets, really funny. You guys should get together and play a game of fizzball.
Dont know what fizzball is? Just read the Sam and Max comicbook and youll find out.

I've long pushed for a game of Fizzball. We'll see if the idea ever takes.

There's always The Adventuress. Sometimes you can find writing about adventure games or story-based games in GrandTextAuto, occasionally in Greg Costikyan's blog, um, and a lot of other places... There aren't that many blogs with a random person or two writing content that's dedicated solely to "adventure gaming" or anything like that though (aside from pages like Ragnar Tornquist's site or the Telltale Blog of course).

I've read that one and it's too manic for me (too many PWNs and cools and awesomes and just too much perkiness). I could also just be too damn old and cranky for that style of writing.

I'm just too damn old and cranky for all the ugly ads on that site, myself.

I'll (occasionally) end up writing about adventure games on my blog.
