OMG! I don't know if anyone ever noticed before but there is a typo in the game!!! They spelled the word secret as 'seckrit'. !!!!!! How embarasing that must be.

Nice choice of inventory items too.

I'm pretty sure the misspelling of "secret" was done on purpose. There's a place in Zak McKracken (in the villains' secret hideout) where the entrance is labeled "Seckrit Door" too.

BTW, I seem to remember from playing the game ages ago that the inscription next to the door only appeared after you'd befriended Ed. Yet, when I replayed it more recently (in ScummVM or with the Deluxe version), the inscription was already there at the beginning of the game. Is my memory just foggy, or...?

What version did you play (to compare with Sierra games, the one with AGI-style resolution or the one in SCI0 style) and for what platform? EDIT: I just checked the version of MM that comes with Day of the Tentacle, and there aren't any graphic files for a blank dungeon wall, as I'd expect if Kurufinwe were correct. It still could be true in another version, however... And something else. In the enhanced EGA version of MM, the arcade high scores read: DFE, NEE, WEE (for Dr. Fred Edison, Nurse Edna, and Weird Ed). But in the old version the scores read DFS, NES, and WES! What was the original last name for the Edisons, I wonder? Last edited by ATMachine; 12-20-2005 at 12:10 PM. |
