My first adventure I ever played. Still has a really special place in my heart. Probably the game I've replayed the most in my life.

I keep meaning to play this, but I never got past the opening section with its dozens (quite literally) of mazes...

'Tis funny, though. The humour is spot on.

Jungle mazes?

Spoiler:
All the mazes are quite easy, just take the right most exit or on before right-most. And when backtracking, just take the opposite... i.e. left-most exit...

It's a bit harder in the aztec pyramid and egyptian pyramid,

Spoiler:
but at least for egyptian there are clues at the enterance, if you bring the right person along

Ofcourse, I've seen maps on internet, which can help you along. Don't miss out on this fine game just because of one issue.

Which version is that screenshot from? The one I have on floppy doesn't have as nice visuals.

The nigh-on-impossible-to-get-a-hold-of-legally FMTowns version .

The jungle mazes aren't mazes at all! Just keep walking through random doorways; eventually you'll get to your destination.

There are three real mazes: one on Mars, one in the Sphinx in Egypt, and one in a Mayan temple.

The Sphinx one and the Mars one aren't too bad, but the Mayan one has an extra complication: the doors don't match up in the way those in a normal building would. You could enter a doorway on one side of the temple and come out on the building's other side!

I know this because I have the hint book, with maps of all the mazes .

Apart from the fact that the Mars one is mostly in the dark, you mean.

Oh yeah. Well, in the FM Towns version it isn't, for some reason. That makes the flashlight found in the Mars hostel rather superfluous...
