Default EB Games delays Indigo Prophecy longer

Hey all,

I know this game is being posted about to death, but I just thought I'd mention in case anyone wasn't aware that it looks like the game has been delayed until at least 9/26 for all systems. PC, XBox, and PS2 all have it as delayed shipping until at least 9/26. Boy am I glad I imported. For only $10 more than here in the states, not only do I already have the game, but its not censored either.

I just picked up my copy today at GameStop - maybe your local EB games sold out of it.

Where did you get your imported copy from? I'm thinking of importing it since I love having sex scenes in my games.

Sorry, that just struck me as funny.

Sure, but I still wish games did more than suggest sex. All the porn games I've tried or seen are pure crap (since they're usually made for guys), and Magna Cum Laude was a terrible letdown (it fails to deliver at the most crucial sequences, and seeing boobs and pubic hair do nothing for me). Give me a good story and if it has a couple of sex scenes in it, I'm happy.

'Course there's that whole censorship deal which just puts a bad taste in my mouth, and cutting out the sex makes me feel like I'm missing part of the game.

Since I live in Europe, I have the european version of the game. To be honest, I haven't encountered any sex scenes in the game... (Actually in one scene there is sex, but the camera turns away and you only hear stuff). So, do I have some kind of censored version, or is the game supposed to be like that? If not, what are the differences between the US and european version of the game (except of course for the name)?

There are two sex scenes:

Spoiler:
The first is when your ex-girlfriend comes round. You have to successfully play the guitar and stuff, and then you get the scene. The second is right near the end of the game, and you get that one regardless of how you play.

IMO, the graphical nature of the scenes is completely needless. They're certainly not improved artistically by showing nudity. Put it this way - I certainly wouldn't worry about ending up with a censored copy.

From what I've read at other boards, most are having trouble locating the game both online and in-store.

I just looked at www.bestbuy.com and it says my location has the game in stock. I'll have to try and check this weekend.

Doesn't it strike anyone else as odd that it seems to be ok to have violent murders with lots of blood in a game - but nudity is a big no-no?

Seems pretty perverse to me...

Violence is needed to convert infidels, and you won't convert any by making love. THE LAWD SAYS SO.
