That scene looked so familiar to me, but I couldn't place it. Now I'm pretty sure I was thinking of Shadowgate, but that can't be it. Shadowgate had a PC release, but definitely not those fancy graphics.

Right... In that case, maybe it's Gabriel Knight III. edit: Now I forgot that it DIDN"T have pc release. Oh well, it's definitely not my day.

You're close enough, it's Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers. Never got a PC release but it should have because it was surprisingly good and, in my opinion, much better than the first game.

Cool, I had no idea there was a sequel to Shadowgate. Is it as cruel to the player as the original? If not, I might look it up.

I can't think of a good screen at the moment, so the next person who feels like it may post.

1) I edited out the interface because ~~I'm evil~~ it's way too recognizable (you would normally be able to see it during gameplay).
2) It's from a series, and there are two acceptable answers.
