Sweet. Hope it's on a Par with his Monkey Island excursions.

Apparently, it was old news a month ago, by now it probably qualifies as ancient

An RPG Adventure.

Would that be like the last tomb raider game where you had to "level up" before you can attempt certain puzzles.

Maybe. Or maybe something like Shenmue. Or something completely different. Nothing is known yet, so we'll see.

After you witnessed the rise and fall of blah, blah, yadda, yadda in Beyond Good&Evil, it's time to yaddayadda in Good&Evil.

Ah, no. Doesn't sound like it will be one of those by-the-numbers point&clickers.

Neither the article nor the blog post it references offers anything we haven't known for a long time.

First Eurogamer brakes my trust and now this! I think I'll just go and... nah, killing a spider wouldn't help calming myself down...

But it would help me stop fretting about the GIANT MONSTER that has escaped under my sofa.

(I'm a major arachnophobe - anyone that posts a spider pic is going to get panned )

Damn! And I was just gonna post a pic, too.

I find little spiders all the time in this house. They're usually on the ceiling or crawling by the computer. If they get in my way I blow air on them so they scamper off.

Anyway, Ron Gilbert's new game .....

What's He Doing Now?

Gilbert has spent the last year looking for his new project - a comedy RPG/RTS - but has now decided to self-publish with the help of private investors...

The news at AG says "Not much has been revealed about the game, but according to EuroGamer, Gilbert has not ruled out that it's going to be an adventure."

When we met Ron in Amsterdam a few months ago he said it will be a RPG with some adventure elements and lots of humor. He was already pitching the game to publishers back then iirc.

From a classic interview with Gilbert, done about a year ago...

Quote:
Jake: Anyway, we can take it for granted that your next game is not going to be an adventure game.

...

You don't want to say?

Ron: I don't want to say.

Jake: So it's Monkey Island 3: Ron Gilbert Edition.

Ron: You got me.

Yeah, no I would not call it an adventure game.

If it's not going to be an adventure game, then I think it should be ignored by Adventuregamers.com, regardless of who designs it.

True, but not by Adventuregamers forums.

And I mean only if it obviously has nothing to do with adventure. Like, if it's a train simulator.

Hmm and what about a train simulator with spitting contests and three headed monkeys?
