Coming from Scotland "The Home of Golf" I think it was Bobby Jones.

Tiger held all 4 titles at the same time but not in the same year I think.

Yes it was a complete farce. I felt for the 120,000 americans who turned up to watch it.

Hilarious.

In 1961, the NBA had crowned a champion, and said champions would hang on to that title for eight years. Who were these champoins and in what year was their record broken?

I'm guessing it's not as easy as 1969.

NBA shut down during the Vietnam War I guess.

Abyway long story short.

No Idea

You are obviously talking about the Celtics but what record are you talking about? No other team has won 8 straight NBA championships so as far as I know, their record is still not broken. Also, I think they started winning their consecutive championships in the fifties so 1961 was not the first year that the Celtics win the eight straight championships.

And howcome nobody answered my question? It was a serious question, you know. In case anyone's wondering, the everage flight speed of an European swallow is about 10 meters per second.

I couldn't find my print out of this.

Somewhere I had also seen an estimation of how much wood a woodchuck would chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood...

Hmm, that's why I like you so much Jazy. Only a loony like you would have found that page. Where did you think I got the formula for the Strouhal number in flight?

Here's a game-related one: How was Lord British killed back in the early days of Ultima Online?

There was a controversy about this, right? I seem to remember the guy doing this was banned or something. I think he cast some sort of fire spell on Lord British, who was supposed to be invincible but the guy exploited a bug in the game to kill him anyway.

Haha! Good. Tried to make a fool out of you with the second part. But no, I'm sure they won their first in the sixties. Bill Russel was on that team, and he won his first championship in '61.

More Celtic crap:

Who did the Boston Celtics choose for the first round, 18th pick in the 2005 NBA draft? (I don't expect anyone to get this).
