omloflump: hey! You kinda look like one of those dudes from Oasis!

...Am I gonna get bitched to hell and back for that?

I see what you mean, but I too have become a little gunshy where making comparisons of people's appearance is concerned.

omlo, I too pictured you differently. Though I think of you as one of the more tempermental types here, you look far less so in real life (at least as conveyed by your pic).

Actually, I've realised a far better comparison (that is if you aren't ignoring me because you hate my filthy guts for the Oasis thing, which was actually a compliment because I really dug them in the Morning Glory era... you can hate me for that, though, completely understandable):

Sufjan Stevens.

I've been listening to the guy so much lately it's amazing I didn't think of it firsthand, actually...

Question for everybody: how did you picture everyone else before seeing photos?

With regards to height, I've been consistantly dead-on correct. As far as looks go, I never get it right.
I've noticed that having a clear and accurate image to invision when reading someone's posts does affect how their tone is perceived, though. Often I can picture people here speaking the things they type with a wry smile *cough-squarejawhero-cough* or with an angry frown, depending on what's being said.

No, I didn't check the "How Tall Are You" thread for your answer.

Just a couple of inches off I'm 165cm, or roughly 5'5". In your defense, though, I get the feeling I was supposed to be born shorter.

Hey, I wanna hear more height predictions. Everyone, please ask Scott to guess your height.

Oh no. Uh-uh. Not in open forum, anyway.
Guessing the height of any male is a very dangerous proposition. Even if you're correct, it leads to trouble. We had a guy at work, the top of who's head barely reached the bottom of my chin, who swore he was 5'9"! I'm 6'1", and since my head comprises more than four inches of my total height I knew he was wildly incorrect, but it was his lie and I let him tell it with without argument. I also have a friend who is a good two or three inches shorter than I am (I can just see the top of his head when we stand next to each other), but who swears he's 6'1" as well...again, it's his lie so I let him tell it as he pleases.

I could never understand why many men are so obsessed about their height, while at the same time most don't feel ashamed to be visibly overweight, for example.

You can guess how tall I am.

Me and my big mouth (or big typing finger, as the case may be)!
I can see I've opened a can of worms here, and it isn't going to go away quietly.
Okay, here goes:
T.Manelius- 5'8"-5'10" (173-178cm)
insane_cobra- 5'6"-5'8" (168-173cm)
AFGNCAAP- 6'-6'2" (183-188cm)
*covers head* Don't hit me!

I've got "177 cm" according to my ID, but I actually still grow - though very slowly - so I may be currently nearing 180 (but not more). Close enough, thanks.

And me? Bearing in mind, of course, that I'll actually have to measure my height to check, and I've never really seen the need to know it .
