Haha that topic name reminded me of that scene in The Two Towers.

A NEW POWER IS RISING!

Honestly, people shouldn't give a crap about it. Popes just talk out of their ass and impede normal people's lives with their shitty ideas and conventions.

No, you've all got it wrong! Remember Loom?

And here's the "Transultimate Apostle of the Antisecular Conclave of Clerics" on the holy balcony...

Well, Bishop Mandible Ratzinger is an old man, so we may be going through this ceremony again in a few years.

If he doesn't rip open the fabric of reality first.

He's pretty much just a walking megaphone for dogma.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when the Cardinals are voting in their secret room, but am I the only one who thinks it quite strange that they voted in someone of that age?
Isn't he something like 78 years old? which means he will probably last only 10-15 years at the most

After all, he was very close to the last Pope and will probably just carry on his outdated ideas!

In other words: He's pretty much just a walking limping and ailing megaphone for dogma.

Blimey, you are right!

Well, it's about time that you all came and visited me beyond the pattern. Sure, its beautiful like nothing else, but it can get bloody lonely here too...

By the way, bring decent swimsuits, if you intend to go swimming. Bikinis are not a good idea here. Don't ask why - just trust me.

Pretty much

But I'm just wondering how many of his ideals are going to be his own?
After all, the Catholic Church is not known for its openness - i.e the suppression of the authenticity of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

BTW, where exactly is the Catholic Church getting all its money these days? It's not exactly cheap to maintain the entire Vatican City, much less its tentacles all around the world. All that dusting and mopping.....

Who exactly were you praying to?

Ratzinger is bad, but he's old, he's just a way for cardinals to buy time before they take the real decision : Where is the catholic church going?
