Timbaland's new Shock Value II.
Feeling a bit disappointed, really. Actually quite disappointed. It's not that there isn't anything good there, but frankly there's way too much mediocre stuff and two songs which are simply so under his level I can't possibly fathom what he was thinking doing them or putting them on the album (one with *gah* Miley Cyrus and one with Katy Perry - sounds like business moves, but it's not like he's tight on cash) The last part of the album saves it (from complete disappointment) though (and it starts quite well too, and there's some random good songs in the middle). And the last song (Symphony) is totally hot. |

Public Image Limited - First Issue
Got it for five quid from a farmer's market. No joke. Better than the Sex Pistols, in my opinion - it's a less contrived sort of punk.

The Who - Pinball Wizard
There's only a few tracks from CD 1 that I like and this is one of them. I have to say that I'm not a fan, nor am I keen, on their early stuff from the 60s. I'm not into 60s rock/pop rock. But I do like rock from the 70s and 80s. Hopefully I'll enjoy CD 2 more.

Of course, the money still goes to the same major label and - in a way - if it reaches the Christmas number 1 spot then the X-Factor has still determined what would be the Christmas number one.
Fucking good song, though.

Actually a campaign for this song was created by a couple of friends on Facebook. They were rebelling against commercialism and the music industry. They're sick of X-Factor stars getting the number 1 spot. And I don't bloody blame them. It's doubtful that Rage's song will win anyway, what with the swearing, but it's good that people want music with more meaning (instead of crappy pop songs being covered) and are willing to give the X-Factor the finger.

X-Factor is shite.
Surely it would have been more appropriate to promote an underground / minor label band, though, as good as Rage are?
