I check newbie's (when they're acting like viral marketers) and people who say something that attracts my attention (in a good or bad way)

But like Trep said. A lot of profiles are the bare minimum you need to set up an account so checking a profile doesn't tell you much (beyond how long someone's been around which can be very telling) OK, I know I'm not a shining example of an extensive profile. Time to put a bit of work in methinks.

Hmmm.... well, I check profs to see if someone is male or female. But its also nice to know what interests they have.
