Well, I did only say "semi". I mean, you run around and shoot people on the other team. It has some nice extras, though.

Pff, FPS! It's a 100% accurate real-life terrorism/counter-terrorism training tool, silly.

Oh, and Emily, read this, the official CS manual, for a better explanation

Or plant the bomb, if you're on the terrorist team. It's fun for about the first 30 seconds.

Funny, I was doing just that about an hour ago on the Adv Thumbs server. To be fair, it was at least 40 seconds of entertainment...
... then I dropped back into deathmatch. Weeeee! Look at that rebel fly!

er, no I don't think there are crossbows in CS:Source, emily. However, here's something for your (apparent) fetish

Assuming it goes ahead, I hope everyone has fun tonight!

I was there for a while... Alone, of course...Beat all kinds of cans from one starting place to another. What fun it was...

Latency went from around 150 to like 400... But still, I am in Finland.

Can't come tonight though

I'll be there tonight, but may be a bit late as I'm out first and not quite sure when I'll be back. Bit embarrassing as I'm the one who suggested it but that's me, sorry. But I WILL be there.

Who can make it btw?

I just realised I have proper clan practice until 9pm. I'll come then if anyone's still around.

Yar... I can't be there on time because I have to run out for a bit. I'll check in later if anyone's still around

Great turnout I see!

What we need is for some brave soul to connect to the server and sit there while alt+tabbed back out to Windows. Then maybe someone else will bother to connect and before you know it the whole world will be online.

That someone isn't me though - my computer would probably explode if I asked it to run HL2 and other stuff at like, the same time.

OK, I'm back home. I'll be at the server at 10pm German time, 9pm UK time, or 2pm EST (or is it 3? ). I'll hang around for 15 minutes.

If this is a failure then we'll need to drum up a bit more support for it to work. I hope we can get it to work though, it'd be great fun.

I'm astonvilla1982 btw. Villa being my football club and 1982 being the one and only year we won the European Cup (1-0 against Bayern Munich much to Megs and her sons annoyance ).

EDIT: Hm, my latency is 400 tonight. That will be problamatic.

Well Huz and myself had some serious one on one fun (not like that, Trep ), and everyone else missed out. Too bad.

Maybe next weekend we can get two bigger teams together (my team captain was an a/hole ).

Awww. Shame about the turnout. I'm up for it next weekend so long as it's before about 2pm GMT on Sunday.

How was the 400 ping, Curt?

I'll try to make that time, simpson. I'll let you know closer to Sunday if I can, and hopefully we can get a few more in - 1 v 1 is a bit limiting.

The 400 ping was just about playable. No idea why I had such a high ping though as Huz was getting around 150, which is what I'd got before when I connected. I'll have to look into it.

Sorry, Curt. Apparently, I'm going to the in-laws for dinner tonight (nothing like good notice ). I suspect there isn't much more interest for tonight anyway, so I guess it's not going to be a problem. I'm still keen, though. Just let me know another suitable time if/when you can drum up enough interest (PM me if you want).

I'd try beating the drum myself but since I've barely played the game, I can't really pimp it all that well.

Shame you can't come, yellowy. Is anyone else interested in giving it another shot this evening, in the next few hours? If you are, drop me a PM or grab me on Messenger - I think my details are in my profile - and we shall see! I should be able to drum up one or two others as well (I don't think they post here, but they should ) so hopefully it won't just be 1v1.
