Although being a member of the union, it's always like this during the high-season at work. Got a pretty good laid-back year after it's finished. But it sure is tiresome atm... *bleh*

*trips over sneaker laces and pauses to fluff hair up*

Am I late to the party?

Hey GreenJeanz, I loved your uterus remark, especially since I am due to give birth shortly (I was just told yesterday that I'm 1 cm dilated).

*twiddles thumbs agitatedly*

Oh yeah, and toger posts every now and again here, too. That's one more gaming grrrl for the list!

Oh and good luck Skinny Minnie! I hope it's short and painless. And congrats!

Thanks, people! I'm shaking rattles, turning up the volume when Sesame Street comes on TV and waving baby computer game CDs around in front of my belly here, trying to lure this little guy out! And my doctor is absolutely no help-- he said my labor could start accelerating at any minute, or not for another week or two!

Oh well, back to Coldwood in Neverwinter Nights for now I guess! Maybe I can push my Level 15 Paladin up to a 16 before the Big Day comes....

As always, I'm late to the party. The last time I looked in the mirror *looks in compact mirror*, I was still a girl! I'm a lurker/reader, not much of a poster.

And hurry up and pop that baby out, Minnie. You're wasting precious gaming time!

Let's start making placards, guys. Maybe the girls will start coming out of the woodwork more often then.

Congratulations to you Minnie. I hope everything goes smoothly with the birth. A good diet for the baby when he's born, involves a bit of Broken Sword, a gram of Grim Fandango, a smidgeon of Sam and Max and lots of Monkey Island!!

Maybe some Day of the Tentacle too.

This may just be the voice of male inexperience, but do you really think a new mother is going to have a lot of time for video games?

I didn't play at all for 5 months - 2 months before the birth and three after. It wasn't just the lack of time - I was too tired and games just didn't seem that important. Even now that she is going on two I usually only play during her nap - by the time she goes to bed at night I'm too tired and read until I fall asleep.

Well, mag, *this* mother is a game reviewer by trade, so for the sake of the family budget (and Mom's sanity), I sure hope so. Heck, my 9-year-old daughter already plays a Ranger in a NWN guild with her Paladin Mom. Hey, man, have you ever read Harry Potter? It's all spellcasting, shape-shifting, wizards, witches, and good-versus-evil combating to the death....Any grounded kid able to discern fantasy from reality is ready for RPGs, and my daughter loves 'em! She actually became head of the Mage's Guild in Morrowind as a Dark Elf over last summer, too! Little gaming kidlets shall overflow in this household! (Don't worry, we still have big sister's old Sesame Street and Putt Putt games-- no weapons racks by the bassinette, at least not for a little while anyway. )

Well, that changes things then, doesn't it?

That helps when you can smite your kid with holy fire for misbehaving.

Anyway, good luck with the baby. Sure he/she will be starting out at level 1, but in a few years the kid will probably have made it to an epic character. Okay, I'll stop with the RPG analogy before it becomes any more horrendous.
