Now that I started remembering, here's a classic series from my childhood
http://www.doctorsnuggles.com/ In Finland he was called Tohtori Sykerö. And then I remember my favourite show, Around the world in 80 days, an animated series where all the characters where animals. Phileas Fogg was a lion if I remember correctly? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0135114/ http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/child.../Willy_Fog.htm So the series was originally spanish, I didn't know that earlier. And here's also some images of Alfred J. Kwak http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/child...20J%20Kwak.htm Heh heh, I also remember this series Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/child.../Dogtanian.htm Hmm, now my memory is flowing with series, The Adventures of Nils Holgersson, then a series that had pandas, Tao Tao was it's name http://www.dragonfare.com/AL/ch/taotao.html As I said, I have watched a lot television when I was young

Yeah, Alfred J. Kwak was pretty good. If you have a cartoon were the characters are oppressed by Nazi's you know you're watching something special

That was Dolf the crow, who, during the course of the series, even grew a Hitler-type moustache. That was cool yeah.
It was indeed a Dutch cartoon, created by Herman van Veen, but completely animated by cheap Japanese studios. Transformers and Thundercats were great too. Is it me, or are there just none of those epic cartoons anymore? I know -it's just me. And my nostalgia.

Maybe nostalgia has part in this matter, but it just the way things are. I'd really like to collect all these favourite series to my personal archives, it's just kind of hard when tv networks don't show the old classics anymore.

A handful of them get released on dvd. It's pretty easy to get the whole Transformers series. And they'll do the same with GI Joe. But for all the other series; we'll just have to wait.
Since those scrumptious boxsets are doing a great job on the market though, there's a good chance all the great series of yore will be released eventually! One I'm particularly looking forward to is all seasons of Mighty Max. I know, it's not an 80s series, but I liked it. It has Tim Curry voicing the major villain, so how can it go wrong?

What's this? No votes for Pinky & the Brain? That show was hilarious (well, at least until they ruined it by bringing Elmyra in).
"Why, Brain? What are we going to do tomorrow night?" "The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!!!" mag |

Well, when I was a kid, we didn't have cartoons. We had to carve stick figures into pieces of tree bark and make a crude flipbook to page through. It didn't work very well to say the least... We usually just made "cave painting" comic books instead and pretended there was movement.

I just buy 'em in a store for competetive prices. Right now I have the whole first season, the first half of the second season, and the movie. And more to come, I'm going to collect every last episode of the original show.

Of course, it's region one, and only runs through 1941, but it's there (1941-present will come later, I believe, since that's what they did with the mickey dvds) |

You were right in thinking so, I think it's stupid I've only ever liked that show when I was really small, but it got boring so fast afterwards. Right now I loathe that song. It sticks in your head better than your face pushed onto a white-hot ironforge.
