I agree, all countries should have to sing in their own language.

As for the UK being represented by a song in Welsh, great idea! It would be even greater if they came from the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch, and were one of the last to sing (just when Wogan is at his most tipsy).

Wogan should represent us with his excellent 'Floral Dance' song. Even though he's Irish. Forget about that.

The Irish Entry.

It's exactly the same as last year.

And so goddamn painful.

Not Interesting Fact; I see Chris Dorans Chimney every time I go to work, and try to hit it with discarded sausages.

FACT.

It's hilarious. I keep going into the living room and catching pieces. It's so painfully horrid that it's funny. And I enjoy humour. And the dress that woman is wearing makes her look like a cardboard cutout.

I just found out that 11million people watched it in the UK last year (thats very high nowadays in the UK). Of course, a majority (I hope!) only watch it here because of the very cynical Terry Wogan, who makes fun of every single act and goes on and on about how awful it is

Anyway, the 11 million explain why we will never have to Qualify through semifinals; despite 0 points last year.

I really like watching the croatian qualifications, cause I know all those people, and it gets funnier and more bizzare every year. that's some quality crap! As for EURO itself, I find it quite boring to laugh at faces I don't even know. And HELL NO, we shouldn't end Eurovision, cause it's the biggest festival of lame and crappy music on the planet. ROCK ON!

I liked that Abba thing in the end of the show (I happened to watch only the end of the thing).

The program that came after it in Finland was quite something: "Toni Wirtanen Undercover" (which says nothing to you, since you aren't Finnish). He tried to "direct" a porn film with artistic conetent. "I hav sailed the seas of souls".

I fell of my chair laughing. It was probably due to the fact that it was midnight and I was really tired and depressed.

The Ukrainian song rocked. If there is any justice in the world they will win.

You dirty little bastard. I actually watched a bit of it "by mistake". Hey, don't look at me like that! I'm not that kind of a guy!

As for the short ABBA movie, it was just brilliant. Robert Gustafsson must be the funniest guy in the world.

It rocked all right, but I still like the Swedish song better. I have a feeling that it won't be as good when translated to English though. Why the hell do they have to go and translate them all the freaking time! Stupid people!
My guess is that the first place will go to either Sweden or the Ukraine. Another reason why Sweden should win is that it's the 50th Eurovision next year and it should be something special. The Swedes have more money and knowledge of how to make a great show then the Ukrainians have, so that's why they should win.
And you just like the Ukrainian song because of the chick in the leather outfit.*

And Finland didn't make it to the final. Surprise! If it's one thing I hate about the Eurovision Song Contest, then it's the fucking politics that interferes every bloody year. That's the main reason why Finland never makes it. One should have thought that this would have changed now when it's the people that vote and not juries, but apparently the common people are as egg headed ass the juries are. Then again, Finland's songs have always been more or less crap, but this year we had a song that IMO should have made the final. At least he left the wings at home.

*That's a perfectly good reason by the way.

Am I the only one that thinks that Serbia & Montenegro's song very much resembles a song in the Atlantis games? Go here, click on the Multimedia Lounge and choose Lane Moje from the list to the right to listen to the song.

Listening to "Lane Moje" is truly "S&M" Just kidding. Didn't think it was half bad actually...Any song called "My little Bambi" can get an emotional response from me.

Edit:
The Ukranian song really rocks! I've just heard the Croatian one...(hehe Im as happy as Godzilla in Tokio) Im gonna go listen to the Swedish one now WOOHOOO!!! And and ...the BOSNIAN one! And...I'll hear all of them in fact! HAHAH Life is good.

Edit2:
The Bosnian entry reminds me of that really lame German band "Modern Talking" My brother used to listen to that MindF*** all the time. I truly hate it with an unequivocal passion!

Edit3:
Halfway through and already bored to death...Slap me silly and call me Dorothy, because Kanzas is going bye bye...

The BBC world service ran a story about the contest today. They included clips from previous winners.   After listening I no longer feel the need to apologise for Britney Spears.

Hey, Britney is a class act compared to some of the ho's on Eurovision. Actually, no, I don't really mean that. Britney is unsurpassed in her bitchcraft. Acts of bitchery are her forte.

Anyone remember Dana International. I think she/he's the biggest bitch, if there ever was one . As far as Britney, like the new slutty look, if she improves it a bit more she won't even have to sing no more. She could just make deaf videos instead, like someone is listening to that crap.
Keep Eurovision alive! The trashiest music festival of all time!
BTW, when are the finals? I've already stacked my booze... YIPIIIIIEEEEE!

Empirical studies have shown that you'll need lots and lots of booze to get through the final tomorrow.

I won't be able to see the finals since I'm going to a concert at the time (I'm finally going to see W.A.S.P.!!! 8-) ). But Ukraine should win, followed by Sweden and Serbia & Montenegro.
