Awwww, I love Shu Qi! Unfortunately I rarely ever get to see her movies.

I'll admit it. I have a thing for Asian girls... always have done... Aoki's superb.

A good friend of mine had a Japanese girlfriend and she was gorgeous. Even more frustrating - she was interested in me, but he was a really good mate. One night I walked her home from the pub and she wanted to go back to my place... that was torture, I can tell you. I sent her home.

Another girl I knew was Korean. I didn't know she was after me for ages, and by then I'd already committed myself to a relationship.

Oh yeah, Adrian Brody. I'd classify him as having that something. He's a beautiful looking guy, I'd say.

This forum's good for straight guys, methinks. Puts you in a comfort zone where you feel you can comment like that where normally you'd be shuffling your feet.

Ahhh, me too. Good restraint with your mates gf by the way, can't have been easy!

I travelled round a load of Asia a couple of years back and somehow ended up sleeping with an American girl and a Kiwi, but not a single asian girl. D'oh!

I can tell you it wasn't easy at all. At all. I had a thing for her myself as she was extremely pretty and really good fun, but very typically Japanese - as in a little shy until she knew you... and then quite the opposite!

Back to the men.... ( @SJH & Seebaruk)

I'm a little smitten with Dane Cook (comedian):

There's no way of getting away from that accent, and I imagine she considers Australia her home. She moved when she was fourteen. She's more of an adopted Australian. Not sure she qualifies as standard Hollywood style beauty, I don't think so, but she has been successful.

I've heard that you can only be truly considered an Australian if you were born there. Perhaps I'm wrong (Omloflump? Simpson?)

Hmm.

If some folks are going to bring guys into it, let me think of some of the fellas I find attractive off the top of my head.

Sexy "geeks" (or at least, geeky-looking ):

Ted Raimi: I've had a bit of a thing for him ever since I first watched seaQuest.

Ted's photo

Tobey Maguire: I liked him when I first saw the movie "Pleasantville", and after his recent turn as Peter Parker, well, I'm sold.

Tobey's photo

Sexy Brits:

Gary Oldman: He's just so good at playing the intriguing bad guy, although he's fabulous in pretty much every part he takes on.

Gary Oldman's photo

Peter Woodward: Loved him as Galen in Crusade... need to track down more of the stuff he's been in. Though as nice-looking as he is, it's the voice that's the really sexy aspect of him, IMHO.

Everyone else:

Bruce Campbell: Dude, c'mon. He's BRUCE CAMPBELL. The man exudes cool and funny at the same time.

Bruce Campbell's photo

Sean Patrick Flanery: Another fellow who I need to track down more work for. I loved watching him in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

OK, time to sign off this post before I get too distracted by drooling to concentrate on getting work done.

Edit: Whoops! Can't believe I almost forgot Bill Mumy. Not only do I think he's cute, but I've talked to him in person before and found him to be intelligent, friendly, and a captivating and hilarious story-teller.

Oooh, guys! You're speaking my language....!

Malay actor, Ahmad Idham:

Indonesian Nicholas Saputra simply smolders with his stare:

Japanese heartthrob Takeshi Kaneshiro:

And I happen to think that Daniel Craig is hot with his diamond blue eyes:

And of course, John Cusack, the unconventional hero :

Methinks we're losing the plot here... Question is, what makes these people beautiful to you?

I don't know about that. I never read the book, but it was a fantastic movie - oddly enough, hence its popularity. The sequel you can slag off. She was great in it too, a real 100% bitch.

She even looks like she has a nasty edge, whch is probably part of the allure.

(grin) Point taken, Square, about getting off-topic!

Ted Raimi, Tobey Maguire, and Bill Mumy I find attractive because they all have that sort of friendly, honest, intelligent (and somewhat geeky) look to them. Plus they're good at playing that sort of character. Plus Bill Mumy has red hair.

Gary Oldman and Peter Woodward I find attractive because they know how to carry themselves with poise, class, and charisma. Oh, and British accents are almost always sexy by default.

Bruce Campbell because he combines being rugged, roguish, and goofy all in the same package.

With Sean Patrick Flanery I'm influenced by his Indiana Jones portrayal... he gave the character a very soulful and thoughful quality without losing the famous Indy adventurism and charm for the ladies.

Peace & Luv, Liz
