I have just installed this and plan to look at it today but wanted to ask if anyone had the blue screens or bugs that the first edition in German had, for which they had to issue a large patch upgrading it to 1.1?

The original release version had several serious bugs ranging from so-called plot stoppers (prevent you from finishing the game) to even more serious computer lock-ups (blue screens). Reacting on this, Crimson Cow stopped the production and delivery of that edition to work on a patch and do a reprint then.

Quote:
After releasing the patch on 20.06.08, the company then offered all buyers of the first print a replacement service to get the updated second print for free.

In order to get the replacement, the buyers had to send in the complete box of the first edition, including the DVD, which meant that they couldn't play the game anymore. And because the production of the reprint took longer than expected, Crimson Cow send a free copy of the official soundtrack by Emilio de Paz to everyone as an compensation. The first replacements then arrived seven days later around 28.07.2008.
I have the English TAC version and it installed ok. Will see how it goes. I am sorry to read that the original source, which is not mentioned at all as far as I can see in the promos, rather a spanish source is given, for the story, is not honoured fully. Umberto Ecco is a remarkable author and the book is awesome.

Has anyone found a demo for this? I've just looked on the website listed at the start of this thread and can't find anything. . I always like to have a play with demos before shelling out my (VERY hard earned ) cash!

That's a fairly decent ag i think, maybe the most decent among recent ags but just not for me to play on.What i'm looking for have exotic sensations from video games not bearing kindergarden style atmospheres.
