I've got a scanner but I'm too lazy to actually scan my adventure game notes.
Did anyone else construct elaborate Monkey Kombat notes only to find out afterwards that you can't use them again the next time you play the game due to the fact that the puzzle was random... Last edited by SerialFreak; 09-21-2003 at 11:13 AM. |

I used to take notes all the time, but it seems like most games nowadays just have your character remember things like important numbers and words automatically.

Right now I have a freakin' novel written in an odd mixture of Serbian and English for Morrowind... I mean, seriously, pages upon pages... mostly in order and mostly crossed out...
I do have a notebook established where I have written down the order of symbols for the TLJ megaphone system, the Fate of Atlantis tunnel hierarchy, even all the colors from the end of MI2... Whole bunch of other stuff... Worms 2 codes... Cheats for Starcraft, Warcraft, all the other games that I have... etc... etc... etc... HOWEVER the notebook is in Galveston, and I am in San Antonio... |

Strange that I never took notes for any adventure game I ever played
I either have everything in my head, or I'm stuck! Maybe this is the key to my actually finishing an adventure game |

I've never used a notebook, just A4 sheets from my printer. They all went to the trashbin at some point or another, though. Not that I care... not at all interesting and I doubt anyone would bother reading them.
Tamara, wow. That's really cool stuff you have there.

To keep on topic, I very rarely take notes for adventure games, and if I do it will be for particular puzzles on loose sheets of paper that I later throw away. I keep non-puzzle related notes when I'm reviewing, though, often with things that never make it into the final review (way too detailed). Not sure I've kept any of those, though. I have notes for Planescape: Torment, though, to keep tabs on quests I was doing, puzzles I knew I'd be able to solve at some point in the future, etc. I could scan them if you want, but they'd contain spoilers.
Royal: thanks Check out the rest of the site if you like that one </blantant plug> |

I'm so lazy that -unless the system is very obvious like the
Spoiler:- I usually either just think about other things while trying every possible combination (this can take a long time, for example in Spoiler:), stop playing the game altogether or consult a walkthru.

Anyway, personally I very rarely take notes. In mazes I tend to just click away randomly, or give up unless it's a really good game. Isn't that terrible...
