Great news but not entirely unexpected. They did work on S&M2 before the cancellation.

EXCELLENT News.

Excellent news! I can't wait. I hope they can get Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson doing the voices again.

Also didn't realise that the first Bone chapter was out so soon, hooray!

Well this certainly brought light to my cloudy Thursday day.
Purcell couldn't have inked the deal with a better company than Telltale, that's for sure.

So YAY! Hooray! Wooohooo! etc.

Yeah, there's bound to be a strong anti-lucasarts sentiment in the game, especially considering that Sam and Max are probably about the most un-PC adventure game characters ever.

It'd be awesome if they could get Mike Stemmle on the team. I wonder what he's doing now, anyways?

This is so cool. I'm not sure if I will like the Bone game, but I sure liked the original Sam & Max game!

Not unexpected, no, but apparently I'm an idiot because I was sitting there knowing they'd be making an announcement but thought it was something different. And Steve Purcell was sitting literally right behind me.

I blame it on the wine.

I have some other neat quotes from the event that didn't really fit into the news article. I'll type them up and post them later today.

Funny, they never actually said "Sam & Max".

Matthew Le Merle, who is chairman of Telltale's board (a finance guy), stood up after they all stopped talking and said he wanted to announce that Telltale had just entered into a new license... that as they've progressed on Bone they have had a few other people approach them about doing licensed games, and that a few days ago they'd signed a deal for one of those licenses. Several times during the evening Kevin and Dan had used "The Incredibles" as examples of what kind of a story could be told in a game (vs. sticking a license in a shooter or racing game) -- and some Pixar people were there (including one who spoke) -- so I thought they were going to announce an Incredibles game. So, Matthew was saying that the license Telltale had signed had already had a game made from it "a few years ago" that sold well (which The Incredibles did), and he thought people were going to be excited to hear that Telltale had entered into an agreement with....... Steve Purcell.

I don't really remember what happened after that except that I started bouncing in my seat.
