Case: "The Siren Song"

We are heading to the Walking Dutchman pub , located in the southern part of Silverton.

We listen to the conversation of two sailors.

Choose phrases:

- "Siren work";

- "Police on the spot";

- "Coast, not far from the harbor."

A new place on the map - "The Drowned Sailor ".

 

The legend of the sirens

  • “On the coast, not far from the cemetery, they found a drowned sailor. They say that the sirens are to blame for everything, but, of course, these are prejudices. Or not?".

We go to the place where the body was found. We speak with the policeman guarding the body.

 

Crime scene on the beach

  • "The policeman is sure that this is an accident, but his hypothesis does not seem credible to me."

We look at the water. We examine the corpse:

- forehead;

- face;

- right hand;

- right shoe

Look at the footprints in the sand.

 

Footprints at the crime scene

  • "I found traces of three pairs of shoes at the crime scene."

In the concentration mode, we consider traces. We follow the tracks to the pier, we find a cigarette butt. We examine it (rotate until two active points appear).

We return to the corpse, we examine the bottle lying nearby (we rotate until two active points appear).

We go to the scene of the murder. We speak with the policeman, examine the corpse:

- a wound on the head;

- a stone with traces of blood;

- a broken rum bottle (rotate until an active point appears);

- a footprint on the ground near the feet.

  • “The sailor allegedly became a victim of a curse. John is glad I listened to him."

We speak with the policeman.

 

Guilt-weary sailor

We return to the pub "Walking Dutchman". We go up to the room where the drunken sailor is sleeping on the bed.

We examine the chair in the corner:

- "LETTER FROM ELSA" (rotate until an active point appears);

- a photo in a frame (rotate until two active points appear).

Notice the bottles on the table. We look at the sailor.

 

Elsa's letter

  • "Dear Harry. Would you like to visit me in the pleasure garden? With thoughts of you, Eliza."

We go down to the pub. We activate the evidence "Elsa's Letter", we turn to the sailor (a new place on the map "Garden of Delight"). We leave the pub, head to one of the clothing sellers.

We buy a sailor's uniform. We put on a sailor's cap, glue a thick beard to look like Harry Thorne. We go to the " Garden of Delights ".

We speak with Eliza, we agree to go with her.

Take the BOTTLE OF WINE from the table (rotate until two active points appear and pick it up).

We pass into the bedroom. Looking at the chest:

- photo in a frame;

- notice of the arrival of the ship;

- A LETTER FROM THE MOTHER.

Pour the wine into a pot with ficus.

We examine the dressing table:

- lipstick;

- cigarettes in a cigarette case;

- a bottle of cyanide;

- "ELSA'S DIARY" in the drawer.

We speak with the entered Elsa. We choose the option of the replica “Yes, right, what you need” in order to hear why Elsa takes revenge on the sailors.

We put on the uniform of a policeman, we go to the von Staub mansion .

From the editors of the Chronicle, we follow Baskerville Street to the south. We enter the mansion.

Burnt letters

  • “In Erich's room, I found burnt letters. I'll try to restore them."

We put on the “Duelist Costume”. We leave the mansion, move to the south of the Grand Shed .

We turn with a question to one of the aristocrats.

We enter the house. We activate the evidence “Help to the musician”, in the concentration mode we examine the lock on the front door.

We go into the next room, where Mr. Jones stands. We look at the cover that covers the piano in the corner. Consider the awards received by Jones, put on the shelf. We examine the notes on the music stand, we look at the broken shop window:

- fragments of a bottle;

- bow;

- a stain of blood;

- LOSUT FABRIC (rotate until an active point appears and pick it up);

- window lock.

We speak with Jones.

Donkey kidnapping

Drunken sailors

  • “Several rowdy sailors ransacked the Wet Mustache Tavern. They are furious and dangerous - it is not surprising that visitors are afraid to get under a hot hand.

We enter the tavern through the door on the left. We calm the unbelted sailors.

Games with the law

“John offered me to be a policeman, at least pretend. The suspects must not realize that I'm not really from the police.

We find a secluded place (in a clothing merchant's shop located nearby), put on " Police uniform " and "Police cap".

 

Dead man in the safe

“I was interested in the rumors about the arrest of Basilio Copello, the owner of the famous Copello workshop. The circumstances of the case are quite remarkable: the body of Nicolò Detti was found in a safe in Basilio's shop. Basilio claims to be innocent, but evidence suggests otherwise. He is being held in a cell at the police station.”
