2021 Aggie Awards – Readers’ Choice poll

It will take you one minute to read this feature.

Ho hum. Another year, another record-breaking 215 new adventure games released last year! Sure, most of them were smaller indie adventures, but it wasn’t a case of quantity over quality, but rather a whole lotta both.

Spoiled for riches as we were in 2021, that means we’ve got our work cut out for us to narrow it all down to the best of the best for the annual Aggie Awards. You’ve seen our nominee finalists, and now it’s your turn!

You’re not limited to our list of top tens, of course. Anything and everything released last year (except for ports, unfinished episodic games and non-adventures, that is) is eligible for each award, so the choice is entirely yours.

As always, we’re trusting you not to abuse the system – one person, one vote! But we will monitor the incoming submissions to weed out any funny business should the need arise. (It won’t, though, will it?)

Most categories have a drop-down menu of games to choose from. You are NOT required to vote in every category if you don’t feel you’ve played anything worthy of being the winner. Anywhere you wish to abstain, simply leave the list set to its no answer default. There are two write-in categories, and for these we require both the game title and the character or concept you’re nominating for their respective rewards.

There is always some debate over which games have been classified as “traditional” and “non-traditional” for those respective awards, as the line between them is becoming increasingly blurry. Rest assured, however, that every game is on one list or the other, so nothing is left out.

The poll will be open for one week, ending Sunday, February 13th. Winners will be unveiled in our grand Aggie Awards presentation on Friday, February 18th. So fill out your ballot, mark your calendars, and we’ll see you there!
