Woo-hoo! I've been to Game and bought the extremely crappy Paradise Cracked. Gamespot review here.

What the hey, it's got to be worth 50 pence, even if only in hollow-laugh value.

At the same time I also picked up Sim City 4 (deluxe edition that lets you drive around the city) and UFO Trilogy from the "2 for £15" shelf. Both look very promising. I've owned Sim City 2000 for some years now but never figured out how to work it.

Colin was reading the back of the Paradise Cracked case and noticed that it boasts "RPG flavour". Which to him meant it tastes like rocket-propelled grenades.

Granted, at this point it's starting to feel a bit like a grind, but digest it in small portions (if you manage - it's terribly addictive) and you'll be perfectly fine.

Wait till you see the level titled Million Legs, SotC colossi have nothing on the creature that awaits you there. :D

70+ levels. Reminds me of Bangai-0.

I've seen footage of the Xbox360 one and indeed the monsters on that make the colossi look like children in comparison.

I'm usually a little reserved over console RPG's, but I'm still going to give these a shot, their setting and style is really appealing. :)

Persona 3 is getting some really good reviews. I was thinking of getting it myself until I found out I'm supposed to dedicate something like 50+ hours on it. Sod that!

Most games I play force me to play 20+ hours each. I find it good value for the money as long as I'm entertained during that time. I'd say I spend around 20 hours a week on a game which makes me finish 1 - 2 games each month. I seldom play "pick up and play" games.

Just had a big Sports Weekend on the PS3 so had to pick up some games as well as two extra controllers. Had seven players on 'Fifa Street 3'! It was mad as!!! :P

Fifa Street 3 is actually a good game :P. Having played the other two I must say this one, gameplaywise,
is sooooo much better and fun (but there's no challenge, its to simple).. i would like to see
more complex and REAL dribbles,shots,pannas,tackles..next time.

oh.. AND GRAPHICS (or design .. whatever), I really dont like this cartoony look,
Fifa Street is a game with so much potential..

Btw, are those sixaxis or dualshock? :)

In the post:

I know that it got some fairly mediocre reviews, but it was (fairly) cheap, and I feel like giving it a go.

I must confess that I haven't played the first two. I agree that it looks like they could've done a much better job though.

'Fifa Street 3' was A LOT of fun with six other players beside me! However I got confused with this other guy cause our colours were almost the same. He was yellow and I was a slightly darker yellow so we got confused all the time. LOL!

Unfortunately the controllers are only Sixaxis. Dual-Shock hasn't been released in Australia yet. :\

From the left:
Space Quest
Space Quest Collection 1-5
Space Quest Collection 1-6
Heros's Quest (Quest for Glory)
King's Quest 4
King's Quest 5
Gold Rush
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The whole lot only cost me 40 Swedish kronor (I suppose It would be around 6 maybe 7 dollars).
I almost feel a little bit bad. :P

Guild Wars Factions and Nightfall. (Factions is a second copy for my teen daughter so we can play together (and yell at each other up and down the hallway from computer to computer). Nightfall is for MEEEEEEE (and if she likes it I'll buy her a second copy to play against/with me too, I guess). I'm glad there are no monthly fees for these games. :)

I've been looking for a Vietnam game for a while, and this looks like it will do nicely.

Ok, so I have a little too much time on my hands being in a phase of my life where I'm past University and not yet a parent. ;)
