I Just Bought...
I don't know if there's already been a thread like this, but basically in this thread you post what you've bought recently (picture or text), and people can comment on the buys or whatever and talk prices, etc. Who knows if it'll work and keep going with purchases, but I think it's a cool idea, just to see what people are into and all that. So I'll start. Today I bought for $40 which I then found out was used (I thought the one on the shelf was just an empty display box) and without a manual...
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg ...oh well. |
You bought Half life 2 used?
...Id keep your receipt if I were you cause if the guy who traded it in ever played it then youve got no hope of getting it on steam... I'm suprised the store even took it in, when half life 2 came out over here there was signs all over the place stating that they wont accept trade ins of this game sue to steam |
Well it's working fine. I don't know, maybe it was new but the absence of a manual is a little disconcerting. Maybe the guy at the counter just forgot to put it in the box or something while we were talking about World of Warcraft. I think I'll go over there and ask tomorrow.
|
Oh, HL2 doesnt come with a manual...well mine didnt atleast
|
That in itself is rather.....I dunno. I like the manuals :(
|
No real need for one since the game gives you a tutorial.
|
It's a re-release, they usually don't come with manuals, even if original releases do. There's oughta be a PDF manual on the disc, though.
This was my last purchase: http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/7...050gslf0tj.jpg It cost me $25. I don't have a PS2 yet, but I better stack myself with some games before I get one. Currently I have God of War and Freak Out for PS2 and Discworld Noir and Vib-Ribbon for PS1. |
Some ****ed-up game cover art where you come from.
|
:) Here's the American edition cover art:
http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/4...zzzzzzz1xr.jpg Not much more subtle, I'm afraid. |
Nicer composition though. Bear in mind it's now "on the cheap" in the UK already...
I really wanna play this game, shame I can't and probably never will. |
My most recent game purchase would be
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P...2.LZZZZZZZ.jpg for £9.99. Of course, given the rate at which I acquire games, it probably won't be my most recent purchase by the end of the week. |
Where from? Ace price.
|
Gamestation. They had a single copy in the Oxford branch, and it was one of those situations where I just decided to buy it instantly.
|
My latest game purchase:
http://www.contactsales.co.uk/vault/...gersBoxLow.jpg I wonder if I ever have the hundreds of hours time that I need to play it. :D |

I just bought this one:
http://x2.putfile.com/2/3509304284.jpg Well, I pre-ordered it, anyway, because it isn`t released here in Europe until mid-February. (us lucky europeans :) ) About time, considering my almost two year long wait for this title. Well, I guess it`s worth it, it looks amazing :D |

I bought this just to play Co-op with a friend but got sucked into the Single Player :D |
|
The original OMF is a classic, I still play it sometimes. :)

I don't like long games :P I don't like short games for that matter either (well, I like, I just don't... like...) Medium-length games. That's the way to go :) |

Just brought...
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P...2.LZZZZZZZ.jpg And its Ace :D especially the children's book-esque manual Though i've found that everyone who see me playing the game immediately says: "what the F**k" |
thats out over here now? how much was it?
|
I came out in the UK on friday, it was about £35 in Virgin megastore but went up to £40 in some other shops.
|
Play.com offers £29.99 + Free Delivery
|
Full price huh? I always though it was one of thosequirky on and off fun games, is it worth the price?
|
Its great fun, though may be too weird for some people.
I haven't played it that much, so i don't know whether it was worth full price. But its definately one of those games that you say you'll have a quick go on for half an hour before a TV programme is on. And end up playing it for ages missing the TV programme all together. |
I just bought a large order of games. See, I very rarely get the chance to buy any games at all (since prices are obscene here), so when I do get an opportunity I make the most of it. I bought:
-Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, so far fun but not quite as good as its predecessor -Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, which is just brilliant -Metroid 2: Return of Samus for the Game Boy, a true classic -LEGO Star Wars, which I'm hoping will be fun in multiplayer and then used copies which I can't get to work of: -Final Fantasy Tactics Advance -Luigi's Mansion -Super Monkey Ball |
Metroid Pinball.
Freakin' addictive as hell! |
I bought three gamecube games even though I don't have a Gamecube. All of them were on sale.
Well, let's call it "preparing for the Revolution™". :D |
The last non adventure games I bought came with my 360
Call of Duty 2 Kameo PGR 3 Perfect Dark Zero |
I thought the revolutions backwards compatability was going to be through downloads?
