Oh, I remember they talked about this in a review... Wasn't this in the first Art of Murder or something?

That's the one! Usually clumsy dialogue (due to transalation or otherwise) just makes me cringe, but the "Let's be friends." bit was so bad that I just laughed and let it pass as cute. Certainly memorable, though. Anyway, your turn.

"Good day, I'm looking for a friend. She is escorted by two groboclones."

Cool. :) Here we go then.

"You're right. But what, I wonder? I've racked my brain and I'm all out of ideas."

As a matter of fact, it's not.

(^ there's a subtle clue in there ;) )

Shany 08-12-2010 05:03 AM

Another clue, please.

Ok Shany, I'll just continue with this clue first before posting another.

Change the spelling of one of the words in my quote below. It will still sound the same as it does now when pronounced and is part of the name of the game.

Nord and Bert couldn't make head or tail of it

chal 08-12-2010 12:25 PM

I'm just hoping the next clue won't be a slider puzzle. :D

Roman5 08-13-2010 04:09 AM

Ok, another clue. It's a silder puzzle.

I'm kidding. :D

The "You're right. But what, I wonder? I've racked my brain and I'm all out of ideas" is said by the main protagonist (who happens not to be male) whilst inside a theatre.

Psychocandy 08-13-2010 08:55 AM

Mata Hari?

tsa 08-13-2010 10:50 AM

Ceville. It's said by the girl when Ceville and her are next to the racks of clothes.

Bingo! And for the record, the first clue of "As a matter of fact, it's not" is bolded. :)
(That's assuming Mata is pronounced 'matter' and not 'marta'. Dictionary has it as both
[mah-tuh hahr-ee, and, mat-uh har-ee)

Anyway, your turn.

I can't believe it... I'm playing Mata Hari right now and it never clicked! :frown::pan:

Psychocandy 08-14-2010 01:28 PM

Good stuff! :) Here's the next quote:

"They found his head on the bridge and his arm near the ridge, but no-one could find his left leg..."
