Ghost of Yōtei is getting a Complete Edition packed with new content
It seems Sucker Punch isn’t quite finished with Ghost of Yōtei just yet, with a new Complete Edition set to arrive on PS5 on October 1, 2026.
It is launching around a year after Atsu’s adventure first landed, with the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition bundling together the base game, its Legends multiplayer offering, and a solid collection of new content headlined by the Echoes of Sekigahara narrative expansion and Most Wanted survival mode.
Those who haven’t jumped in yet can pick up the Complete Edition for $69.99, while existing Ghost of Yōtei owners won’t need to buy the whole thing again, thankfully.
Ghost of Yōtei is getting a new story expansion
The biggest addition is obviously Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, a new story expansion split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s past.
A figure named Nagato arrives in Ezo, while you will also explore a previously unseen valley formerly occupied by The Snake and his followers, the Vipers. Flashbacks will take Atsu to the Battle of Sekigahara, shedding more light on her life before she returned home to begin her quest for vengeance.
Expect new enemies alongside heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes, and more to hunt down along the way.
The other major addition, Most Wanted, takes things in a slightly different direction. Described as Sucker Punch’s spin on a roguelike, the single-player survival mode has you accepting bounties and battling through runs to earn perks and unlock additional playable characters.
Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato have already been confirmed as playable, each specializing in different weaponry.
Existing owners can grab the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99, which includes both Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. The full package also brings new Watanabe Mode tracks, Photo Mode stamps, New Game+ cosmetics, and additional Trophies.
Even if you don’t buy the upgrade, there are some freebies coming on October 1. A new patch adds the relaxing Beauty of Yōtei mode, the ability to retain one armor set’s appearance while using another’s stats, and a new high-contrast accessibility option.
