Enter Dark Slavic Folklore in One-Eyed Likho
Morteshka, the studio behind Black Book and The Mooseman, has announced that its folk horror adventure One-Eyed Likho is now available on Steam.
Rooted in the Slavic tale of The One-Eyed Likho, the game transports players to a grim corner of 19th-century Russia. In this stark, monochrome world, you will wander through dense forests and decaying cottages in search of Likho, the one-eyed embodiment of misfortune, as you try to escape your cursed fate.
Okay, so you might not be familiar with the tale, but a peek at the video below will give you more than an idea of what to expect. The mono style is really well done, and the setting has all the hallmarks of being a great, great horror adventure. One-Eyed Likho was only released yesterday on Steam, but already has a positive rating. If you pick it up before the 4th of August, you will also get 15% knocked off the price, so be sure to check it out before then.
As well as the standalone version, there is a Supporter Pack available as DLC, which offers an artbook, a black-and-white comic, seven exclusive matchbox skins, and a complete game soundtrack for those dark nights alone where you want to be creeped out in your bedroom.
