Apex Legends is getting a Cyberpunk crossover, and Skippy makes an appearance

Apex Legends is officially heading to Night City, with EA and Respawn revealing the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event, a limited-time collaboration between the two franchises.

The event goes live across all platforms on July 14, bringing a suitably neon-soaked makeover to the battle royale.

Apex Legends x Cyberpunk event adds Night City E-District

The biggest change is the arrival of Night City E-District, a limited redesign of Apex Legends’ E-District map. The Outlands have been given a full Cyberpunk glow-up, with neon skyboxes, and holographic koi, glitched signage.

It is not a full new map, but it does look like one of Apex’s more visually distinct event refreshes, especially with the Cyberpunk aesthetic doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Cyberware comes to Wildcard

The crossover also adds two Cyberware mods to Wildcard.

Sandevistan is all about speed, giving you quick dashes in any direction. You can chain two dashes before touching the ground, making it useful for closing distance or escaping a fight.

Blackwall Breach, meanwhile, lets you phase into the Net to reposition before returning with a disruptive EMP.

There is also a Cyberpsychosis mechanic tied to Cyberware Capacity. Use too much chrome and your Legend can go Cyberpsycho, gaining high movement speed and brutal melee damage.

The drawbacks are there are no weapons, abilities, shields, or ordnance. Thankfully, Immunoblocker Syringes and Caches can aid you instead.

New Cyberpunk skins and Skippy arrive

Cosmetics are, naturally, a big part of the event. You can earn Eddies to spend in the Reward Shop, which includes an Arasaka Epic Valkyrie Skin, Kang-Tao Epic Mirage Skin, and more.

There are also eight Legend Skins for Axle, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash, and Gibraltar, alongside eight Weapon Skins for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber.

Best of all, Skippy is here as a Mythic Alternator, complete with “Puppy Loving Pacifist” and “Stone Cold Killer” modes.
