Legend Entertainment, a credible industry source has stated, has just been shut down by Atari, its parent corporation. No further details are available at this moment, nor is there an official statement. Legend Entertainment was originally an adventure game developer, known for such titles as The Blackstone Chronicles and Callahan's Crosstime Saloon. Sensing the imminent but gradual wane of the adventure genre, they switched to the 3D engine and the newly unfolding action/adventure genre and churned out acclaimed titles such as Wheel of Time and Unreal II: The Awakening.
