Baldur's Gate 2, with modules. I can't wait for the Xan Romance module for "Throne of Bhaal" to be released. I'm not going to continue without my favourite Elf of gloominess!

Meanwhile, have a look at some banter between Nalia and Kivan the "fair maiden".

Neverwinter Nights - I just bought the Diamond pack and installed it all last night. I don't know why I waited forever to try this game, but so far I love it. I'm still in the prologue though.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - After having played KOTOR, this is a slight letdown, but it's still enjoyable. I'm still inside the first base so I have a long way to go.

Diablo II on Battle.Net- I imagine I'll simply always be playing this in some form or another.

Crash Bandicoot II - This is like my 3rd time through this game and I'm still not that great at it, but it's just so darn fun to play! I've only got 6 crystals and 2 gems so far.

Tell me when you are ready to play the awesome fan made modules, so I can start recommending them, okay. ;)

Oh, and I am now playing Morrowind.

Now that's a good choice. Though the ridiculously slow running rate meant that I never got anywhere near finishing it and just moved on to Oblivion...

Superb stuff, though. Just make sure you grab one of the many improved texture packs and the unofficial patch :P.

Where can I get those?

Unofficial Patch

Texture Packs

Those aren't the only texture packs, but should make a good starting point; I went with the Mixed Textures pack. You might also want to try searching for a third party program that expands the number of available resolutions and allows you to increase the draw distance even more (if your computer is up to it).

Hmmm...the fact that there are modules improving on the graphics and also character models, makes me consider buying the expansions (as the clothing modules require the expansions).

And seeing that the "Game of the Year Edition" only cost 10 Pounds at Amazon.co.uk, makes this very likely too.

You mean you bought it without ?

Sorry, that thought hadn't crossed my mind. Consider that GOTY edition essential if you've enjoyed what you've played so far :).

Heh, I just started.

To tell the truth, I only picked up Morrowind because it was a bargain edition ("Ubisoft Exclusive"), and it looked interesting. I didn't even know it had any expansions back then. Then I found out my old computer didn't like it, and it went into hibernation on my shelf. Today a friend told me I should play this game, making me remember that I had it. I tried it on my now new computer, and it works. And it looks much fun.

Ah, fair enough. And yes, get the GOTY edition :D.

Broken Sword 1 trying to figure out how to get into the castle. No hints, please :)

LeisureSuitedLooney 09-03-2006 04:47 AM

Just bought TES: Oblivion yesterday afternoon...yeah, yeah, money doesn't last long in my wallet, I know....

*sigh*

Anyway, enjoying it so far, but having trouble remembering all the different keyboard controls and combinations, lol. And when I emerged from the sewers, I think I may have travelled to the wrong area...being attacked by bandits, who apparently have decided to skip the mugging, and gone right to the attempted killing-on-sight, lol. Nice graphics and sound, though...especially considering how unplayable Morrowind was on my earlier PC.

And, MAN, it's weirrrrrd seeing THAT face using Patrick Stewart's voice, lol!!

Gabriel Knight - Sins Of The Fathers, In the outer ring in africa trying to get passed the zombies

Fahrenheit, the asylum. But it just locked-up on me. I really don't know what to think of this game. The stupid controls make it really frustrating, and why the hell would i want to play basketbal. This has nothing to do with the story. Made me want to trow my pc out the window.

However it's also probably the only game which kept me up playing this late. 2.30 AM over here.

And why does every adventure that i seem to play have something to do with the super-natural. Sometimes it really wants to make me cry when you got a great story going and it turns out to be something supernatural.

insane_cobra 09-04-2006 09:57 PM

Believe me, you've seen nothing yet. :)

MadTricks 09-05-2006 10:01 AM

Soldiers: Heroes of WWII - that unbelievably difficult WWII simulation. Just beat it in 'easy' mode, now replaying in 'unreal' mode. God, that's hard.
