Here's a pic of me in costume last Saturday at the Anime North convention in Toronto, as Captain-General Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryûsai (for those of you who didn't already know, yes, I actually shaved my head to cosplay this character... dedicated, or crazy??? )

With my best friend as Lieutenant Chôjirô Sasakibe:

Finally, my "tribute" to my recently departed co-worker, whose memorial celebration I missed last weekend:

I like your costume! :) You're very devoted to this anime thingie. (No I don't know what it is, but it must be fun ;) )

tsa
Annabel is lovely as always. :)

You didn't like the other pictures? Not even the one of the parasol and the blue sky? I like the colors in that one a lot.

UPtimist 05-30-2009 04:24 AM

I went on a sky photography spree last week, so I've got some serious sky pictures coming up for you all :P (Mike's photo earlier inspired me...)

And tsa, the colors are indeed great in the parasol pic

tsa 05-30-2009 11:42 AM

Thanks Uptimist :)

Coming tuesday I will go shoot a model in the woods near Enschede. I have never done that before, so I'm very curious how it will turn out. I'm actually not much into photographing people, but I won a camera with a picture of a girl in a bus, so who knows how good I am in shooting portraits.

UPtimist 05-31-2009 12:57 AM

I've always loved orange and blue :)

Alrighty then...

My "cloud studies" :P (well, obviously not all of them, but a few hand-picked and so forth)

And one thing I've also been getting into (well, trying more like) is birds flying. So here's one with a crow, although it's more of a mood pic than actually getting the dynamics and all...

(Edit): You know, these cloud pics look really good in a really, really small size (in thumbnail size). I don't really know why though :P Maybe it has something to do with the sharpness.

tsa 05-31-2009 01:47 PM

That's a nice bird picture Uptimist! I have some good ones too, but what I would really like is to get a nice picture of a Common Swift in flight. That is ridiculously hard because they fly so fast and high!

So, you've all seen pictures of me wih my long hair. For the longest time, I haven't gotten my hair cut in years. Well, I finally got it cut. I like it, and so does Louie. Also, some more pics of me and Louie with my new hair. ;)

Not A Speck Of Cereal 06-01-2009 07:38 PM

You ROCK girl. Your man looks good too (not that I swing that way, but he certainly looks happy being with you).

I got nothing in respect to pix tonight--I'm so far behind. Maybe next week.

Fantasysci5 06-01-2009 07:50 PM

Aww, thanks Spec. lol We do seem to be so happy around each other, it's almost too good to be true.

The moon was one of the reasons why I bought an expensive DSLR. And now I want a better telelens. 800 mm would be nice :P

Thanks, Jelena! Anime is Japanese animation, and my best friend and I are big fans of it. Yamamoto and Sasakibe, the two characters we were cosplaying, are from the animated series Bleach. We have a lot of fun attending the convention every year in costume! :D

tsa: As always, Annabel is so adorable! :) I also like the colour contrast of the orange umbrella against the blue sky.

Fantsie: Love that new look for yours, I'm glad Louie likes it too. (Hey, my hair is already starting to grow back! ;))

Well I went to the shooting that was organized yesterday, but I couldn't find the other people :frown: ;(... I walked a long way through the forest but to no avail. I did see my first deer in the wild though! It was very close; only 50 m or so away. We looked at each other for a while, and then my brain started working again and I got myh camera. The deer didn't like that much and started to walk away. I got a shot of its rear, but it was already quite far away by then:

I shot a nice horse picture too:

If you click on one of the pictures you will find even more pictures I took there.

Oh tsa I love the pictures... they are very nice. Jenna says that she loves the horse pics. She said "oooo mommy tell your friend those are the pretties I have ever seen" :D

I wont be surprized if she asks me to print them out for her .... :D

tsa 06-03-2009 10:50 AM

Well, thanks! I like them myself, too! If you want them in a bigger format please PM me your email address.
