Hardly, but I can't come up with a better term. Calling him by his name is the obvious choice, but that might not be prudent in open forum for reasons I won't go into. I've never cared for "boyfriend", "lover", or "husband" and we're not exactly at that point yet anyway. "Significant Other" always seems a bit cold and nebulous to me. "Sweetie", "Honey", "Sugar", and similar appelations are suitable for referring to someone directly, but not for referring to them in the third person.
