It´s been a while but could it be from one of the Kyrandia games?
My guess is "Legend of Kyrandia" Its a gut feeling, but surley it is from either Legend or hand of fate.

You're right, it's from the first game. The second quote was of course Malcolm at the entrance of the cave. The first one is Brandon talking to the Pseudobushia Hugiflora (the big talking flower that gives you the healing power); I doubt it was meant to have any political significance (although Bush Sr. was up for re-election at the time when the game was released).

I find Legend of Kyrandia games really unique
