It’s been a long old wait for a solo Wolverine game to grace our presence once more, but with Insomniac Games taking up the mantle for Marvel’s Wolverine, you know that it’s going to be a top tier experience.

If you’ve been hankering for some more grounded claw-based action rather than web slinging around New York, it’s likely you are wanting to pre-order the game.

If you do so, there are a few pre-order bonus items you’ll benefit from, and we’ve got the full lowdown on what you’ll secure for picking up an early copy.

What is the Marvel’s Wolverine pre-order bonus?

If you choose to pre-order Marvel’s Wolverine, no matter which edition you opt to pick up, you will receive a total of four bonuses: an early unlock for Wolverine’s Classic Brown suit, an early unlock for the Reflective Claws, one Technique Point, and four PlayStation Avatars.

The big win here is obviously the Classic Brown suit. Wolverine has had a bunch of looks over the years, but the brown and tan outfit is one of his most iconic comic book designs, so getting access to it early should be a nice little treat if you’re a long time fan.

The Reflective Claws appear to be another cosmetic-style bonus, giving Logan’s main tools of destruction a slightly different look. Since you’re going to be seeing those claws a lot, thanks to  the sheer amount of hacking and slashing you’ll be doing, it makes sense that you’ll be able to switch up their design. The Deluxe Edition also has additional claw variants, too, so there’ll likely be more on offer as you progress through the game.

The one Technique Point should give you a small head start when upgrading Logan’s abilities. It’s not exactly a huge deal, but an extra point early on could help you grab a useful skill a little sooner.

The four PlayStation Avatars are the final part of the package, letting you rep the game on your PSN profile.

Since the Classic Brown suit and Reflective Claws are described as early unlocks, they are obviously not permanently exclusive pre-order items. Instead, it sounds like those of you who don’t pre-order will still be able to unlock them through normal narrative progression later.
