Afterlove EP: A melodic journey through heartache

The heart-warming story of love, loss, and music in Afterlove EP will soon resonate with gamers around the globe. Unfolding against the vibrant backdrop of modern-day Jakarta, Afterlove EP will officially launch on PC and consoles later this year. The latest trailer is available for viewing on YouTube.

Afterlove EP follows the tale of a young musician named Rama, who finds himself adrift after his girlfriend Cinta's sudden demise. As his friends and bandmates rally around him, Rama grapples with letting go of the world he shared with Cinta. With Cinta's voice literally in his head, Rama faces the daunting task of moving on, completing his first-ever EP, and perhaps finding love again. The game is a colorful mixtape of genres, drawing inspiration from dating sims, rhythm games, and narrative adventures. As Rama, players will immerse themselves in Indonesia's vibrant culture, explore real-life locations within Jakarta, socialize with friends, and make story-affecting choices. A demo is currently available on Steam.

Afterlove EP brings Jakarta to life with stunning manga-inspired art from acclaimed Indonesian artist Soyatu. The game also features an original emotional soundtrack from the indie band L'alphalpha, with songs written and performed in Indonesian (English translations included). The game is the vision of Mohammad Fahmi, the creator of the beloved Coffee Talk series, whose passing in 2022 led the Pikselnesia team to honor his legacy and actualize his dream for the game. The all-Indonesian team aims to highlight Indonesia's unique culture and authentically showcase local talent in game development, art, and music. Afterlove EP pays homage to Fahmi’s work, thanks to the efforts of the Pikselnesia team that have carried on to share his legacy with the rest of the world.
