Embark on an Epic Journey to Save Onogoro Island

Amata K.K., a Tokyo-based game developer, has announced the release of its VR action-adventure game, The Tale of Onogoro, on PlayStation VR. The game was initially released on the Meta Quest Store earlier this year, and has since made its way to Steam, PICO Store, and the Meta Rift Store. The PlayStation VR version marks the first time The Tale of Onogoro has been available on a console.

In The Tale of Onogoro, players team up with the cute anime girl Haru to explore the floating island of Onogoro and defeat giant beasts known as "Kami" blocking their path. The game features unique VR puzzles that require teamwork and communication with Haru to overcome. Described as a "portal meets Shadow of the Colossus" experience, The Tale of Onogoro showcases the bond between the player and the virtual character of Haru as they work together to solve puzzles and defeat the "Kami" in intense battles.

The Tale of Onogoro is compatible with various VR headset platforms, including Meta Quest, Oculus Rift, HTC VIVE, and Windows Mixed Reality Immersive Headset. In addition to the game, the original soundtrack for The Tale of Onogoro is also available on the PlayStation Store. Amata K.K. has also announced that they are working on a PS VR2 version of the game, which is tentatively scheduled for release on February 22, 2023.
