The Secrets of Jesus to be revealed later this year
Becoming more like Christ is one of the central tenets of the Christian faith, but in indie developer Amir Matouk’s upcoming The Secrets of Jesus, players will get to go one step further by playing Jesus himself, albeit in a story that bills itself as featuring a fair amount of "black humour."
Designed in a simple hand-painted art style, the game promises to immerse players "in the atmosphere of the first century," as well as provide the opportunity to "get to know many quotes and sayings from the Bible.” However, Matouk claims that the game is intended to work for both believers and non-believers alike, and at the end of the day it will be up to you to decide "whether it's a real story or fake story."
For now The Secrets of Jesus doesn't have a firm release date, though the developer intends to release the game on Windows and Linux at some point in 2019. To stay up to date on its development, check out the official website for additional information.
