All hands on deck for development on Jack Keane 2

Written by Jack Allin -

Hoist the sails and pack the Gravol, because it'll soon be time to embark on another high seas adventure, as Deck13 and astragon have announced production on Jack Keane 2.

After foiling the plans of a mad scientist and his horde of maniacal monkeys in 2007's Jack Keane, the titular hero is returning for a second point-and-click adventure, though as yet no plot details have been revealed. Deck13 has confirmed to Adventure Gamers that an English-language version of Jack Keane 2 is intended, but perhaps the bigger question is whether we'll ever get to enjoy the sequel, as the German developer's games have had a tough time finding international markets of late, with a download-only release of Ankh 3 and no sign so far of Black Sails.

German publisher astragon holds the international rights to Jack Keane 2 and will be distributing the game in German-speaking territories sometime in 2012. In the meantime, we'll keep our eyes on the horizon for more news of this game as it becomes available.
