Memento Mori springs to life in North America this summer

Written by Jack Allin -

Since its German release last October, the English version of Memento Mori has been in publishing purgatory, but the art-themed conspiracy thriller has at last found new life, as Got Game Entertainment announced today that it will be publishing the game in North America this summer.

In Memento Mori, which translates as "remember you are mortal", several valuable paintings are stolen from the St. Petersburg Hermitage, and police detective Lara Svetlova enlists the help of former art forger Max Durand to solve the crime. This is no simple heist, however, as the trail leads to a Finnish brotherhood obsessed with the 15th Century Latin work, “Ars Moriendi” or the “Art of Dying”, believing that the Angel of Death becomes visible in certain paintings on the verge of death -- paintings they will stop at nothing to eliminate.

The 3D adventure inlcudes both Max and Lara as playable protagonists and results in one of eight different endings depending on certain choices made throughout the game. For more information about Memento Mori, be sure to read our preview of the game and check out the official website.

Memento Mori is currently scheduled for release in early July.
