Broken Sword 4 to be unsheathed in North America

Just when it started to look like it might never happen, Broken Sword 4 is finally bound for North American shores, as The Adventure Company announced today that it will be releasing the game next month. To no one's surprise, the game will get a new name in the process. Originally released in the UK last September under the subtitle The Angel of Death, the North American version will be called Secrets of the Ark.

The fourth installment of the acclaimed series by Revolution once again casts players in the dual roles of wisecracking American George Stobbart and plucky French journalist Nico Collard. Taking place a year after the events of Broken Sword 3, when a beautiful woman with an ancient manuscript and plenty of enemies enters George's life, a new globetrotting adventure full of danger, romance, humour, and of course grand conspiracies begins again.

Like The Sleeping Dragon, the new game is once again rendered in real-time 3D, but returns the series to its roots with a point-and-click control option that many longtime fans will appreciate.

Broken Sword: Secrets of the Ark will retail for $29.99 USD, and hit North American Stores in February.
