Sam & Max animated series heading for GameTap

The October 17th release of Sam & Max: Season 1 on GameTap is approaching, and to shorten the wait, GameTap announced today the airing of the original animated series on their broadband TV service, GameTap TV.

The series premiered originally in 1997 on Fox Kids, and introduced the crime-fighting dog and rabbit to US TV audiences. GameTap will be adding one episode each week to GameTap TV, as well as a "making of" feature on the upcoming game series and a sweepstakes for Sam & Max goodies.

The first episode of Sam & Max, the episodic adventure game, will debut on GameTap on October 17th, followed by the international release on November 1st. After the initial episode, Telltale will release one new episode per month for five months, starting in December and running through April.
