House of Tales expands staff

Written by Jack Allin -

German developer House of Tales needed a bigger house to accommodate the new staff being hired to work on the upcoming adventure thriller Overclocked. After recently relocating the studio to Bremen, the company announced today that its graphics, programming, and public relations divisions have already been expanded, and that "additional capacities are being created to satisfy the increasing demand for the content and story services provided by HoT."

House of Tales is best known for its acclaimed PC adventure Moment of Silence and its series of mobile adventures. Not much is known so far about Overclocked, a game that Creative Director Martin Ganteföhr calls "a controversial present-day thriller game about the psychological dimensions of violence." Featuring a familiar point & click interface with 2D pre-rendered backgrounds, Overclocked promises to bring an innovative storytelling technique to connect the stories of six playable characters.

Overclocked is scheduled for release in 2007.
