Silver works on Vista?! *drool*
Fooooooooond memories of that game. Must re-invest. Hope you enjoy the experience. :)

As for me, latest title purchased was....

Lost Via Domus: £10.99. <br>

I know, I know, what the hell eh? ;). I'm a fan of the show, I've been wanting to get it since it came out (despite mixed reviews) but just been waiting for the right price. Now I have it, I can say that the fuse puzzles are ANNOYING, but strangely satisfying once completed. The character voicing is pretty shoddy for the most part (though I'm glad they at least have the voice of Ben in there.) and some of the character models are crap (Hurley ... my god ...) ... but overall, as a Lost fan I'm kinda enjoying it. If you don't like Lost though, don't go anywhere near it. Seriously ....

Fantastic game. I bought the Xplosiv copy and once you make a shortcut on windows and open it as/ make it compatible with windows 98, it works perfectly.

With the highest resolution, you'd be thinking this was a game that was just released yesterday. So crisp. I urge anyone out there to check this classic out. Great for good 5-10 minute sessions.

I did a bit better on that. I got Lost for the 360 from a local Comet store for £4.99. I completed it and got my 1000 gamerscore and traded it in. Got £5 back, so I didn't lose on it. It's not bad really, but if I'd paid full price for it I would have been a bit ticked off.

I got a used copy of GTA:San Andreas on Ebay, between that and Fallout 2 I seem to be in a retro phase just now. Still playing Call of Duty 4 online, but theres ever more lame no talent bunnyhoppers infesting it now. I've preordered Fallout 3 for the PC. It would probably run better on my 360, but I know the PC version will get a ton of mods.

Braid and Ikaruga on XLM. Fantastic games!
I just wish all the Gradius games would get a release too.

Terramax 08-15-2008 10:50 AM

Ikaruga sure aint bad at all.

You might wanna try Trigger Heart Exelica which I think's on Xbox Live also.

I sure hope you've played Gradius V?

I just had a go at Gradius V on my PS2. Made it to stage 7 where an already insane game gets totally out of this world. The screen was filled with enemy space ships. I felt like I was plowing through them. Then I ran out of continues. :)

I tried the demo of Trigger Heart Exelica at the same time as when I tried out Ikaruga and preferred the latter. HD Schmups FTW!

Then check this that's coming out for the 360.

The spiritual sequel to Gradius and Parodius.

Now we're talking! :D
It looks promising.
Just added Geometry Wars 2 to my gaming library.

Recent purchases:

Commandos: Strike Force (£2)
The Club (£5)
Alone in the Dark (2008) - Limited Edition (£5)

The last of those seemed a pretty fair deal to me. I know it got mediocre reviews, but AITD also appears to have some interesting ideas, and £5 for a second hand Limited Edition where the previous owner has clearly only ever taken the game disc out the box seems pretty good to me.

XBL, I'm loving the game to death. Just got the shapeshifter achievement. With the graphics filter the game looks OK on my 37" LCD. The music rocks! When I think about all my XBL games (Ikaruga, Geometry Wars 2, Braid, Bionic Commando Rearmed & Castlevania SOTN) have great music!

DustyShinigami 09-09-2008 06:21 AM

Glad you're enjoying it. :) And yeah, the music kicks ass. I just had to get the soundtrack off ebay.

Just traded on GameTZ for:

Nancy Drew and The Phantom of Venice

and purchased:

Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows

Going to get my Steam-ified Psychonauts on with the 360 controller. It's only the fifth (sixth? I've lost count) time I've purchase Psychonauts. Gave my boxed PC copy to a coworker who was overjoyed. :)

Nice one! Share the love people.

MdaG 09-12-2008 12:37 PM

I'm thinking of giving Psychonauts another go on on the X360 either via live or just buy it second hand. I found the PS2 version to have grainy graphics and awkard controls. Should I bother? I liked the setting...
