I loved the demo for Return to Mysterious Island, but when I went to purchase it, it was already off of store shelves. This was a while ago, but I still look at the "cheap" software racks to see if it turns up there.

Not a game, but a slight upgrade to my PC.

Celeron 2.4 GHz -> Pentium 4 3.0 GHz (Prescott, 800 MHz, the only remaining Socket 478 processor I managed to find)
512 MB PC3200 DDR RAM Samsung, single channel -> 1024 MB PC3200 DDR RAM Kingmax, dual channel

Poor by today's standards, but every little bit helps.

In the last few days/weeks, I've picked up Titan Quest: Immortal Throne for the PC, and Final Fantasy XII and Rugby 06 for the PS2. Haven't really started up any of them except for Titan Quest, though.

Just got this one, It´s a fun unknown puzzle game, it mixes RPG and Bejeweled.
A review from Gamespot made me try the demo and it was really addicting. The PC demo is here

The DS version is the same but with less special effects in some attacks.

Also got Runaway 2 and Okami (Finally!!)

See you all next week :D

I rushed out the other day to get Elder Scrolls: The Shivering Isles. Love it so far, it's very unusual and creative.

Dasilva 03-28-2007 05:22 AM

I hope they make at least one more full Oblivion Expansion pack. They did 3 for morrowind.

LeisureSuitedLooney 03-28-2007 05:26 AM

Yeah, I went to 4 gaming stores before I finally found it, and at the first 3, the Morrowind box with all the expansions kept tempting me....I am so weak when it comes to games and DVD's, lol.

Don't ask me to provide a source, but I'm pretty sure that the developers have stated that they have no plans for another expansion.

I've ordered S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (the "Radioactive Pack" version) and Lego Star Wars II in the last couple of days. I ordered from a company I've never used for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., though, so hopefully nothing will go wrong.

Yeah I heard that on Gamespot I think, but I hope they will make another one anyway. :D

I just got this too--crazy reviews and things like the Penny Arcade comic convinced me to get it.

LeisureSuitedLooney 03-28-2007 01:13 PM

I'm curious about S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I've seen reviews that say it's an action/shooter, and I've seen other reviews that call it an action/RPG. Which is it?

Its more like Oblivion than HL2 IMO.

LeisureSuitedLooney 03-29-2007 03:35 AM

Ah,okay. Still not sure if I want to get it, though. (heh, I probably shouldn't, I've been buying WAY too many games in the last few months.)

Really? The impression I got from reviews was that it's very much a shooter, but one that features some RPG aspects. Which is fine by me...

I recently bought a pile of stuff from Jelly3 (hi!):

I certainly got my money's worth in sheer quantity of disks - there were something like 18 or 20 of them in all! My CD binder is getting awfully full. Think I'll start with Temujin...
