Anastacia - Pieces of a Dream
Beatiful song, although a bit rocky. |
The soundtrack CDs from The Phantom of the Opera...
|
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country
I'm normally not a heavy/hard rock fan, but this song is quite nice. I like the way the singer sings. |
King Crimson - Starless
|
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
He was so good back in the day. |

Jens Lekman - Oh You're So Silent Jens (album)
|
Smashing Pumpkins - Machina II/Friends And Enemies Of Modern Music.
Underrated methinks. |
Diablo - Mimic47
Now this is great stuff, the new album just came out on Wednesday. |
Gene Serene - The Hours
That one and Sad by El Perro Del Mar are the official sad songs of this very moment. There, now let's get back to happiness. |
Brad Paisley - Mud On The Tires
|
Jeff van Dyck - Battle Song #3 (from Shogun: Total War)
Now Nigel Hess - Wycliffe (theme) Before those: Jake Shimabukuro - Ehime Maru (that guy is great, he's actually an ukulele player, but the songs aren't anything what you'd expect. They're very modern) Oh, now there's Howard Shore - The White Tree (LotR sondtrack, duh...) |
thankyou for all the recommends, folks. i looked into some of it [particularly the johnny cash stuff] - right now, i'm listening to "a perfect circle," - "thirteenth step." i like this album quite a bit - especially the opener, "the package." the only *real* fault i have with this is the filler songs - and also the unfortunate version of "blue" on the album. there's an alternate version of the song which sounds a *bit* more like modern depeche mode that i think should have ended up on the album, otherwise, a very nicely conceived and executed album.
[perhaps not as vast, sweeping and complex as tool, but still a good band, nonetheless.] |
I got the Essential Johnny Cash boxed set for Christmas. It's fabulous!
I'll go look for a link to show you the pic because there are lots of compilations of his stuff. Edit: The Essential Johnny Cash (1955-1983) |
Roberta Flack - Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye

I haven't listened Johnny Cash songs that much, but all that I have heard are great. |
I brought very little music with me to university. So, for the next six weeks, it's almost certainly going to be The Remains of Tom Lehrer, the soundtrack to The Phantom of the Opera or Duruflé's Requiem setting.
|
Underworld - Bruce Lee
|
The Longest Journey Soundtrack.
|
So, is that a Journey soundtrack, which is very long, or a soundtrack of The Longest Journey? Eh? Eh? :shifty:
Anyways, now ending: Jake Shimabukuro - Happy Ukulele Now started: James Newton Howard - Tarawa (Oh, and I'm still listening to the excact same playlist, for maybe a week in a row. It's not even that long...) |
