Oh, and I can't forget a plug for my favorite artist: Bjorn Lynne.

TigerShard 03-15-2005 08:58 AM

I am currently listening to my favorite CD released last year:

Rachael Yamagata "Happenstance"

JoeX111 03-15-2005 10:17 AM

Well at this EXACT moment in time, I'm listening to the sounds of the Library I work in (which is not as quiet as you might think...), but in general, I've been listening to the Grim Fandango soundtrack lately.

Ninth Heaven, She Sailed Away, Casino Calavera, and best of all....The Bone Wagon Theme. :D

Maquisard 03-15-2005 11:08 AM

Whenever I'm kicking my cousin's butt at Soldat, I do it to my Leatherface CDs. The music fits perfectly with the gameplay, and after several weeks of playing them together, I couldn't imagine one without the other. :D

Intrepid Homoludens 03-15-2005 11:28 AM

Bow Wow Wow - "Do You Wanna Hold Me"

Their last album was pretty damn good, too.

Intrepid Homoludens 03-17-2005 08:31 PM

:D LOL! You still listening to her? I'm loving her track 'Amazon'.

BTW, have you heard the 'sunshine reggae version' of Nellie Furtado's 'Turn Off The Lights'?

Intrepid Homoludens 03-17-2005 08:59 PM

 Now I'm listening to Massive Attack / Liz Fraser's 'Teardrop'. Yep, the same music used in the title credits of that excellent t.v. show House.

samIamsad 03-17-2005 09:10 PM

My guess is: You'll probably like the song I first posted in here on page one. :) Those guys are just unbelievable.

np: The Postal Service - Nothing better
So great.

UPtimist 03-18-2005 12:04 AM

Right now I'm listening to Tempus Vernum by Enya... Wait, now it's Deora Ar Mo ChroÃ*...

I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business - Whispering actually

Yes, it's the solo record of that singer from The Early November. But it's quite beautiful singer/songwriter stuff nonetheless.

Dark Veil 04-19-2005 06:26 AM

All will be revealed - by Diamond Head
Buy now... Saved later - One Minute Silence
One of us - Peter Dolving

omloflump 04-19-2005 08:20 PM

I'm a generation behind with my taste.

insane_cobra 04-19-2005 09:46 PM

Apparat - Komponent

All you Postal Service fans should really check out Apparat's Silizium EP.

EDIT: Phew! Had to run to the toilet all of a sudden :D
Anyway, Silizium EP is probably closer to what Jimmy Tamborello (one half of Postal Service) is doing as DNTEL, or to excellent last Telefon Tel Aviv album, but I think you'd like it nevertheless.

And also The Young Machines by Her Space Holiday, that's much closer to PS and almost equally as good.

Thanks. I've to check it out. Do you know The Notwist? They seemed to be a hefty influence on the music of The Postal Service, too.

insane_cobra 04-20-2005 07:19 AM

Yeah, just went to their show some 2 weeks ago, during the Thirsty Ear Festival. God, we all waited for them to come to Croatia for so long, but it was worth it. And when they finally played Consequence on their third encore I was in heaven :)

np: Jens Lekman - The Wrong Hands

insane_cobra 04-21-2005 10:37 AM

Kylie - Made Of Glass

Manhunter71 04-21-2005 12:25 PM

Aaargh! What an annoying post - my musical tastes change from day to day.

After replaying The Nomad Soul I got the urge to listen to David Bowie, more specifically "Golden Years"

:D :D :D :D :D

Plus I've been listening to a lot of Nine Inch Nails recently.......
