And Lee, my brother also has a black cat! Black cats are cool.

really, Bull is a Chow/ Sheppard mixed dog. I also have a black cat, his name is Hunter. He has the greenest eyes ever ;)

My brother lives in a farmhouse with his girlfriend (they don't do any farming though), and they needed a cat to catch mice. There are special sanctuaries for 'farm-cats' in his neighbourhood, so they went to one of them to find an 'anti-social' cat. They came home with Hanna, the cat on the picture. As soon as Hanna was let out of the travelling case she started spinning like crazy and rubbing the legs of my brother and his girl, and do all the other things cats do when they are happy. Not very anti-social but Hanna is a nice friendly cat. She's not a good micer though, but what would you do if your feeding bowls were always as full as they are on the picture?

Yeah, I wonder why I always look like that when I play with animals.

Certainly looks savage enough to be a twin for 'Vlad the Impaler', here.

Yeah I wouldn't be a good micer if my bowl was full all the time either :P

Veritable poster children for the "Cats are evil" concept I feel. It's in the eyes as much as anything. :)

That's why I have my thick jacket on! :)

Tired of boring old alarm clocks? Then you need Bessie, the feline-based solution.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...e/CommaCat.jpg

Alarm modes include
  • Meowing in ear
  • Jumping on chest
  • Rubbing her face on your nose
  • Gently scratching at exposed skin (arms, chin, etc)
  • Yowling pitifully from another room
Alarm modes selected at random, so you never quite know what you're going to get. Incorporates stroke-based snooze function, which can stop Bessie engaging in the above for a whole 10 to 30 seconds.

N.B. Bessie is a self-setting alarm clock. Has a tendency to go off at dawn or whenever else she feels a bit peckish.

When not serving to wake you up, Bessie comes in a variety of storage modes (also randomly self-selecting)

The Paperweight

The Trip Hazard

The Cushion

The (In)Convenience

The Invisible (I promise you that she is right in the middle of that gap in the leaves)

Don't delay. Order today. (and if she keeps waking me up at dawn I might even consider sending her to you. )

Jelena 05-28-2011 01:00 AM

OMG, that had me laughing out loud!
Send her to me, send her to me! :D

Bessie is adorable. Reminds me a little of Marco 'Marky Mark' Polo, the last of a litter of three cats my sister and Mom raised. She's something like 16 years old now, so she won't be with us much longer. However, she's a very sweet and charming little sprite, much like Bessie seems to me.

Fantasysci5 06-06-2011 09:21 AM

Muahahaha! Step, that's so funny. Your wit is awesome there. Yeah, cats can be annoying, bless them. I love them to death, but they go right where you don't want them, and wake you up when you don't want to be.

New features for Bessie. Now with hand-washing function (click through for video. Sideways on I'm afraid. Anyone know how to reorient it?)

I told her that I was going to deport her to Sweden. She does seem a lot less inclined to wake me early since then. :)

She looks like Klaas, only bigger :).

And I think, but I'm not entirely sure, that you can reorient movies with iMovie on the Mac.

stepurhan 06-13-2011 12:42 AM

I have friends with Macs but I just got blank looks when I asked. They're not techies so it may just be a case that they haven't come across the feature.

She doesn't just do hands. Wash your dishes with Bessie using the ultimate biological detergent, Cat-Spit! (Click through for video)

The bowls had contained strawberries and cream. The noise in the background is this.
