Oh gotcha' a little love lick :D We all love love licks :P teehee .......... I thought it was a territory thing, like with dogs. But I do love the bunnies, they are so cute :D

Okay, apparently I have yet to introduce my pets to you guys. I have two dwarf rabbits (Zwannie and Brownie - both female although Brownie could have been sexed wrongly) and two cats (Floeffie and Gizmo - both male). The rabbits are caged, but they each have a decent-sized cage and they often get to roam free in our sunroom. The cats are domestic as well and never leave the house (we're living a bit too close to a traffic-heavy road to risk it).

Zwannie is the white rabbit with the brown spots and is just over four years old.
Brownie is the brown rabbit (obviously) with the lop ears. She's (or he - her behaviour towards Zwannie changed at the age of about 8 months so we're not sure anymore) about a year old.

Floeffie is the brown-gray tiger cat with the white paws. He's turned one year a few weeks ago.
Gizmo is the ginger-and-white cat. He's now 8 months old.

These first two were taken last summer. Floeffie was about 5 months then.

Here's Floeffie sleeping in a place he shouldn't... (it's where we temporarily put paper and cardboard to be recycled) :)

And this is Gizmo, the noise-maker (he meows often, which Floeffie NEVER does)...

The cats and the dwarf rabbits get along just fine. In fact, both cats are probably scared of Brownie... :D

Very cute!

I get you about the noise; the cat at my parents' house will expect to be fed around 4am, so he starts yowling for hours, until they had to lock him in the kitchen at night! :P

Luckily the cat I just got (in the AG Blog) only meows very softly, and not that often. <3 <3

Ooh, very cute all of them! But I do have a soft spot for rabbits with hanging ears. (I don't know the correct term in English.)
Thus, I find Brownie most adorable of them all. :)

tsa 02-28-2012 10:35 AM

Rabbits with hanging ears can not communicate how they feel very well to other rabbits and people, so I like normal rabbits more. I miss mine very much: I haven't seen them in 5 weeks! Next week I will pick them up again.
I like all your cats and rabbits Tim! :) They all look cute to me.

Yes they are :).
I have the same cage by the way. Klaas kept hiding himself underneath that plastic thingy in the upper right corner, so I took that out.

Gizmo often randomly starts yowling, but when it's 7 o'clock, he's gonna whine until he's fed... :D
And I'm pretty sure the neighbours can hear it too, that cat is LOUD!
But he's adorable and very playful... :)

Floeffie's less playful, but he's overly cuddly. When I'm on the PC, he's practically always lying between me and my keyboard, with his head resting on my mouse arm... :D

I think it's "lop-eared". But maybe an English native can elaborate...

And you have to check the ears more often, to make sure they don't get any ear-infections (they can't clean their ears as well as "regular" rabbits)...
Ours don't have to fear, though. We love them too much... :D

Are you still getting daily updates on them? Hang in there, only one week left to go... ;)

That's Zwannie's cage. Zwannie and Brownie were supposed to share cages (and did so for about a half year) but when Brownie started riding Zwannie we put her in a separate cage. It's the same size, but without the plastic shelter-thingy. And it's calmed both of them down, since.
Besides, both cages are right next to each other, so they have constant contact.

Also, Brownie's hair has darkened a bit on her head since those pictures. Now at times, she looks like a small dog, which is probably why she gets to boss the cats around... :D

tsa 02-28-2012 11:11 AM

Yes I still get updates :). Just a few hours ago I got another small movie of Klaas and Annabel being nice and cleaning themselves.

I've always wanted a cuddly cat, but never really got any. The closest was Max, who was so skinny and shy, that he would sit on me (and we were both very boney so it was uncomfortable), and at any slight movement of me, he would bolt off and usually scratch me in the process. Aah, good times. :P

Chester likes to be pet and he seems curious, but I don't think he would lie on me for minutes on end.

Ever since we got Floeffie, he's been very cuddly. When we first took him in, he was only 9 weeks old, and we were thinking he'd spend his first few days hidden under the sofa or something. Instead after an hour, he was already sleeping comfortably on my tummy while I was lying on the couch watching TV. And he's been doing that practically ever since.
He's less cuddly with the g/f, though. We think it's my beard that's the charm... :D

Gizmo's the other way around, he prefers the g/f over me (although he's getting better at the cuddling part lately - he's going to come lie within petting range, just not *on* me). :)

Yay for cuddly pets! :7

tsa 02-28-2012 08:37 PM

Klaas and Annabel are very cuddly as long as you don't pick them up. They hate that.

tsa 05-06-2012 10:31 AM

I got a new rabbit from my friends who take care of Klaas and Annabel. His name is Piet and he looks like this:

It's very sweet of them to give Piet to me but I haven't seen Klaas and Annabel since January and I miss them a lot http://serve.mysmiley.net/sad/sad0149.gif.

Jelena 05-06-2012 10:40 AM

Piet looks very soft. And he doesn't poop all over. That's a plus. ;)

TimovieMan 05-06-2012 01:04 PM

I had to install magnetic door catchers on the kitchen cabinet doors this week.

Gizmo, my deceptively clever cat, had figured out how to open the cabinet doors (especially the one where the cat treats are): standing on his hind legs, he grabs the handle of the cabinet in his mouth and then takes a few steps back... :D
Mischievous little rascal... :P

Klaas and Annabel also don't poop all over. And they're also very soft.
